"What Is the American?"

In light of the Supreme Court decision today about affirmative action, I must share this with you.

From ushistory.org

MICHEL-GUILLAUME DE CRÈVECOEUR was a French settler in the American colonies in the 1770s. Coming from France he could not believe the incredible diversity in the American colonies. Living in one area, he encountered people of English, Welsh, Scots-Irish, German, French, Irish, Swedish, Native American, and African descent. "What then is the American, this new man?" He could not be sure, but he knew it to be different from anything that could be found on the European side of the Atlantic.

Now, we did not need Federal government laws to get along during the founding of this great nation and we do not need them now. And although I know that this is a victory for liberty, it should not have gone to the United States Supreme Court. Show me where, in Article Three of the Constitution, that the Supreme Court has any say in what law which a State decides to enact is allowed to do so. It doesn't. How dare these idiots in black robes tell a State anything. The arrogance of the court system infuriates me. We need to get away from this gerbil wheel of going to the courts for everything or listening to them. They do not make law, WE THE PEOPLE DO! We decide what is good for our local community and State. We have the power, not them. Whether they make a decision that we as Constitutional Conservatives agree with or not, we need to stop going to them for decisions that effect our lives and our State. They only deal with foreign matters and that's it!

FYI: Unsuccessful attempts to amend the U.S. Constitution

Since the Looney Left has won and our country is in the process of being run by Looonatics I have decided it's about time us normal, sane conseratives are edumacated. (ebonics will make a come back now, guess why?) So go read the whole thing and become edumacated. :)

From Wikipedia:
The United States Constitution has been amended 27 times since the Constitution was ratified in 1788. Far more proposals to amend the country's supreme law are unsuccessful.

Up to 200 amendments are typically proposed in Congress each term.[1] But only 33 such proposals in U.S. history (including the 27 that were ratified) have received the two-thirds vote in Congress necessary to present them to the states. The framers intended that it be difficult to change the Constitution, but not so difficult as to render it an inflexible instrument of government. Their prescription drew upon their experience with the Articles of Confederation, which had been the United States' previous supreme law since 1781, and which required a unanimous vote of 13 states to amend. This unanimity proved impossible to obtain, and the framers therefore laid out a less stringent process for amending the Constitution in Article V.

Palin’s E-Mail Account Hacked, Published on Web Site

I have asked myself this time and time again; why in all that is right with the universe would anyone get into politics? What is happening to Mrs. Palin this election cycle is the reason why we have cockroaches in all branches of the government; not decent, hardworking individuals with integrity and a sense of country first. Read on MacBeth.

From Fox News
:
In the latest of a series of invasions into Sarah Palin’s personal life, hackers have broken into the Republican vice presidential candidate’s private e-mail account, and a widely read Web site has published screen grabs from it.

An article Wednesday in Gawker.com posts family photos and snapshots of e-mail exchanges the Alaska governor had with colleagues. Gawker says the-email account has since been shut down, but it will leave the images up on its site for all to see.

“Here are the screenshots of the emails saved before the account went dark, along with the contact list. It’s newsworthy and we will not be taking it down!” the site declares.

Rick Davis, campaign manager for John McCain, released a statement calling the publication a “shocking invasion of the governor’s privacy and a violation of law.”
So yet again the American Left/Communists are showing their stripes. Are you all seeing it? Are you all listening? Are you all asking ---why?
