The equal pay day myth
This month, feminist groups celebrate Equal Pay Day, a pseudo-holiday based on the idea that women are systematically underpaid, making only about three-quarters of every dollar a man makes for the same work. Women, they claim, have to work until April to make up for last year’s “wage gap.”

Are We Headed Toward the Constitution or the Communist Manifesto?
This Breakdown Tells You During his Thursday morning radio broadcast, Glenn Beck asked if America, on its current trajectory, is headed toward the values and principles of the Constitution, or rather, those of the Communist Manifesto. To glean greater insight, The Blaze expanded on each of the Manifesto’s 10 planks and juxtaposed them with modern day American society. The picture revealed, while perhaps not shocking, is unsettling to say the least.

Debunking Rumors about Advertising and Photos
Now, I have to start with the article that generated the above title. So, first this article:
From Fox News:
And now the disclaimer;
From Facebook:
Ya'all have to follow the links and make sure this is either true or not. Brian believes "Facebook". And I'm sure we will be hearing more about this subject in the next few days to come. Will try to keep up on it, guys.

From Fox News:
Facebook is facing down an image problem, and it's all about your images.
An untold number of Facebook's more than 200 million users have been feverishly forwarding instructions in the past week on how to opt out of being the social networking Web site's corporate pitchman, following warnings that third-party advertisers were creating advertisements with users' profile photos without permission.
And now the disclaimer;
From Facebook:
The advertisements that started these rumors were not from Facebook but placed within applications by third parties. Those ads violated our policies by misusing profile photos, and we already required the removal of those deceptive ads from third-party applications before this rumor began spreading.
We are as concerned as many of you are about any potential threat to your experience on Facebook and the protection of your privacy. That's why we prohibit ads on Facebook Platform that cause a bad user experience, are misleading, or otherwise violate our policies. Along with removing ads, we've recently prohibited two entire advertising networks from providing services to applications on Facebook Platform because they were not compliant with our policies and failed to correct their practices
Ya'all have to follow the links and make sure this is either true or not. Brian believes "Facebook". And I'm sure we will be hearing more about this subject in the next few days to come. Will try to keep up on it, guys.

Obamacare for old folks: Just 'cut your life short'
I have been a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors Degree for 15 years. My specialty, includes, Cardiac Care, ICU, Step Down Unit, Respiratory Care; Home Heath Care and Hospice. All of these areas of Health Care dealt with the "old folks". I specialize in "elder care". This plan offends me; and I am a stanch conservative, not a "republicrat", a conservative. People wake up; we have been using socialized health care for decades already. It's called Medicare, Medicaid, and Veteran benefits, How has that been working so far. My husband will enter the wonderful world of Veteran benefits in two weeks, I'll let ya all know how it goes. In the mean time, I will report; and let my Uncooperative Readers decide.

From World Net Daily:
The version of President Obama's universal health care plan pending in the U.S. House would require "end-of-life" counseling for senior citizens, and the former lieutenant governor for the state of New York is warning people to "protect their parents" from the measure.
At issue is section 1233 of the legislative proposal that deals with a government requirement for an "Advance Care Planning Consultation."
Betsy McCaughey, the former New York state officer, told former president candidate Fred Thompson during an interview on his radio program the "consultation" is no more or less than an attempt to convince seniors to die.

Florida ready to unleash 'python posse'
Wow, I miss my first adopted state of Florida, if it wasn't for the heat, humidity, and bugs, Brian and I would still be living there. They are brilliant when it comes to running that state. The laws are common sense, the taxes are fair, and they keep coming up with ways of generating more revenue. I miss the deep South and they people who live there. Good for them, you go Florida!
From USA Today:
I wonder how Python tastes? That's a lot of meat. This just opens up many possibilities for a capitalists. Like, using their skin for boots and wallets. What is their fat content? Do they have any medicinal benefits? And I bet there is going to be tons of hunters from around the country and around the world that will come to Florida to hunt them. Brilliant!!!!

Florida is on the verge of unleashing a "python posse" to track down and kill giant snakes on state land, The Miami Herald reports. The paper quotes Rodney Barreto, chairman of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, as saying Gov. Charlie Crist is expected to sign off on the project as early as today.
Barreto says as many as 20 professional trappers could be cleared within a week to go after the snakes, which can grow as long as 20 feet.

Miniature robots could be good spies, but researchers now are experimenting with insect cyborgs or "cybugs" that could work even better.
Scientists can already control the flight of real moths using implanted devices.
The military and spy world no doubt would love tiny, live camera-wielding versions of Predator drones that could fly undetected into places where no human could ever go to snoop on the enemy.

Madoff Hires Consultant to Find Best Possible Jail
From The Times London Times:
What a Liberal News Rag. Draconian sentence! Draconian! Tell that to the hundreds of people who lost their life savings, you twit!
If you continue to read the rest of the article, and read it as Uncooperative readers, you will see that the reporter is trying to paint our prison facilities as if they were horrible dungeon like pits, where everyone was tortured. Yes, isn't that special.
And the arrogance of this man is astonishing. Does he get to choose? I thought only the Judge could do that. Any thoughts?
Bernard Madoff has hired a veteran prison consultant to help him to find the best possible jail in which to serve his 150-year sentence for Wall Street’s biggest fraud.
After his sentencing this week Madoff, now Prisoner No 1727-054, met Herb Hoelter, of the National Center for Institutions and Alternatives, whose previous clients include the jailed Sotheby’s chairman Alfred Taubman and the financiers Michael Milken and Ivan Boesky.
The draconian maximum sentence imposed by the judge means that Madoff, 71, will be assigned to a tougher category of prison than most white-collar criminals. He could be forced to mingle with murderers, rapists, drug-dealers and white supremacist gangs with a hatred of Jews. Madoff is Jewish.
He could even find himself incarcerated with terrorists in the infamous “Supermax” jail in Florence, Colorado.
“He was incredibly disappointed. He knew he was going to spend the rest of his life in prison. I don’t think that was ever an issue,” Hoelter told The Times. “But it’s patently unfair to cast him as a symbol of all evil.”

Ethiopian church speaks out on Ark of the Covenant
I knew as well as everyone else who has heard about this story, that it was going to drag on. Now the Ethiopian's say that the Ten Commandments box will not be displayed. Oh Lordy, Lordy.
From WND
I wonder where this will finally end. I wonder why the rest of the "lame stream media" are not talking about this at all. Could it be they are too busy with their noses up our President's butt? If any of my intelligent readers out there here about another source for this story. could ya put a link in the comment section. Thanks.

From WND
There was considerable confusion last week when the leader of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church apparently told an Italian news agency of an upcoming announcement about the possible public display of the Ark of the Covenant – the box holding the Ten Commandments – and then the prescribed time passed with no word.
However, there was no equivocation today in an e-mail received by WND from the webmaster of a church website in response to an inquiry about the truth of the matter.
"It is not going to happen so the world has to live with curiosity," said the statement, signed only "Webmaster" in response to the WND inquiry.
The webmaster statement described the tempest as being caused either because of a translation mistake or "a slip [of the] tongue from the patriarch." WND reported first when the apparent "revelation" was to be announced and then again later when the scheduled time came and went without word.

Bible buzz begins as Ark hunters wait to view Ten Commandments box
We're watching the History Channel this early afternoon, Mountain time and they are doing a special about the Seven Signs of the Apocalypse and then I find this article. ooooo, spooky.
Can it be true? We will have to wait and see. For those who believe the end is near, this will be huge. I wonder how the Israelis will react? I mean this discovery could really change the world. Think about all the people that do not believe in God, how would they explain this away? And what would the Muslim world do about this revelation? Ah, we really do live in interesting times. Hey, isn't that a Chinese Curse!

Ark hunters and Bible enthusiasts are buzzing about a report that the Ark of the Covenant, the ancient container that holds the Ten Commandments, is expected to be unveiled in Rome today.
As WND reported, the patriarch of the Orthodox Church of Ethiopia says he will announce to the world the unveiling of the Ark, which he says has been hidden away in a church in his country for millennia, according to the Italian news agency Adnkronos.
Abuna Pauolos, in Italy for a meeting with Pope Benedict XVI this week, told the news agency, "Soon the world will be able to admire the Ark of the Covenant described in the Bible as the container of the tablets of the law that God delivered to Moses and the center of searches and studies for centuries."

Ten Lessons Learned From Past Rail Accidents
From Popular Mechanics:
You are going to have to actually read the entire article, it's a good one and very informative. Our prayers and thoughts go out to the families of the deceased. Disasters happen folks, are you prepared?
I love Popular Mechanics, they are fair and balanced and shot down the "Nut Jobs" that questioned what happened on 911. With real "facts", not "speculation".

The death toll from Monday's terrible rail accident in Washington, D.C., hasn't yet been verified, but early estimates put it at nine people, with scores of others injured.
While rescuers continue to search the wreckage for survivors, investigators from both Washington's Metro and the National Transportation Safety Board have begun their investigations into the deadliest train wreck in D.C. history.
Months may pass before we know exactly what caused one train on the Metro's Red Line to slam into the back of another, jackknifing on top of it. Early speculation holds that the operator never hit the brake before slamming into the train in front.
When investigators find out more, this week's crash will join other crashes scattered through the years that taught train operators valuable safety lessons.

NASA Probe Beams Home New Images of the Moon
I know it's been a while since I blogged. But here we go again. Now this article is funny on two fronts. Read first then I will explain.
From Space.com:
Ok, first, we need to be building a lunar base on the moon, not crashing billion dollar space crafts into it's craters. Second, Twitter! Twitter! our tax payer dollars are going to Twitter! See, I thought all the hype about everyone on the planet Twetting and Twittering was an over statement of facts. But apparently not. lol

From Space.com:
A new NASA probe beamed down live images of the moon early Tuesday to reveal a stark surface littered with craters, as it flew toward a planned crash at the lunar south pole later this year.
The $79 million Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite, or LCROSS, launched toward the moon on June 18 and began sending images today at 8:20 a.m. EDT (1220 GMT).
LCROSS and an attached empty Centaur rocket stage swooped down near the lunar south pole and continued north along the far side of the moon. The spacecraft is getting into position to crash down on the surface on Oct. 9.
"I am staring at Mendeleev (Lat 5.7N, Lon 140.9E), a large ancient impact basin with uniform floor deposits," the spacecraft (or rather, NASA spokespeople writing as the spacecraft) posted on Twitter shortly after the flyby began.

What? No bail out for amusement parks? Oh that's right our elected cockroaches are in the process of raising taxes on all of the "things" we common people do for enjoyment, like drink sweet drinks, drink alcohol and eat fatty foods. How dare we ask them to help amusement parks?

Is ABC showing it's true colors?
I don't know if this is true or not because it was e-mailed to me via a good friend. But I will post it and let ya'll decide. Cause I know how informed you all are about our "Lame Stream Media". I wouldn't put it past them, though, I have stopped watching many shows on the "Big Three" over the years just for this reason.
I have permission from the author of this post to include the entire thing as per his ending statements.
A Coach In Childress, Texas Writes To ABC Network
Jim Writes:
My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program called 'THE PRACTICE.' In last night's episode, one of the lawyer's mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help her get a marriage license so she could marry her 'partner.' I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a reply, but I did get one.
My original message was:
ABC is obsessed with the subject of homosexuality. I will no longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality is OK. ' THE PRACTICE' can be a fairly good show, but last night's program was so typical of your agenda. You picked the 'dufus' of the office to be the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay, and made him look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls people like me a 'gay basher.'
Read the first chapter of Romans (that's in the Bible); and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it..... He, God and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. What if she'd fallen in love with her cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative life style? (By the way, the Bible speaks against that, too.)
--Jim Neugent
Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:
How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on), where it says 'All Men are Created equal,' and try treating them that way for a change!
Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in the minority in this country, and your boycott will not affect us at ABC or our freedom of statement.
Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:
Thanks for your reply. From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve. I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and I will be praying for you.

Note: Wouldn't Satan just love it if people stopped using the Bible for a crutch?

I wonder if the person from ABC considered how many people would eventually read this e-mail!
Please, pass this on to others so they may be aware.

How 'hate crimes' work in the real world
Well here we are again, my Uncooperative Readers and Listeners. Let's all hold hands, (why not; the libs sing cum-by-ya all the time) and dissect this one.
From WND:
What I find interesting is that, when you access the link; you'll find a huge picture of Senator Jeff Session and he is only mentioned in one sentence of this entire article. What's up with that? Oh, and if you commit a crime; guess what? IT'S A CRIME. Either amend your own states constitution to not make that action a crime or suck it up.

From WND:
WASHINGTON – No one really knows what was going through the mind of Nicholas John Profitt, 31, when he allegedly threw rocks that damaged the front door of the Islamic Center in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
Was it an act of anti-Islamic bigotry? Or was it a random act of vandalism?
Nevertheless, Profitt has been charged with a hate crime. What would have been a misdemeanor count becomes a class D felony.
Instead of facing a maximum sentence of four years in prison, Profitt is facing up to seven – the difference due to his state of mind, what he was thinking or not thinking when he threw the rocks.
That's partly what's at stake when the U.S. Senate considers a national hate crimes bill that will add special penalties against individuals guilty of crimes based on ethnic, religious and racial hatred and new classifications based on sexual orientation – legislation that has been dubbed by critics as "The Pedophile Protection Act." Richard Land, the head of the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission, wrote to Sen. Jeff Sessions, the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, last week "to express our strong opposition to S. 909, the Matthew Shepard Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which would add 'sexual orientation' and 'gender identity' specially protected categories for victims of violent crimes. We urge you to vigorously oppose this bill, including by filibuster if necessary."
Land said the legislation is both unnecessary and unconstitutional.
"Laws are already in place to prosecute individuals for every form of violent crime committed against others," he wrote. "Yet the hate crimes legislation would afford special protections to some individuals but deny such protections to others, thereby making the latter second-class citizens. This would turn on its head the 14th Amendment, which grants equal protection under the law."
What I find interesting is that, when you access the link; you'll find a huge picture of Senator Jeff Session and he is only mentioned in one sentence of this entire article. What's up with that? From CNS News:
Oklahoma City - Confronted by two holdup men, pharmacist Jerome Ersland pulled a gun, shot one of them in the head and chased the other away.
Then, in a scene recorded by the drugstore's security camera, he went behind the counter, got another gun, and pumped five more bullets into the wounded teenager as he lay on the floor.
Now Ersland has been charged with first-degree murder in a case that has stirred a furious debate over vigilante justice and self-defense and turned the pharmacist into something of a folk hero.

Obamas' Date Night in New York City Draws Criticism
Ok, let's get our heads wrapped around this one and break it down.
From Fox News:
I can just hear everyone screaming, libs and moderates alike. What is wrong with you? Doesn't he and his family deserve a break and to have some fun. Yes, yes they do. But not at the expense of the public. When past president's wanted a break, they either went back home, yes they all have homes. The White House is only temporary. Or they went to Camp David. Do you all remember what Camp David is? Do ya'all remember what Camp David was created for. Not what it's used for now, but it's original intent.
From Wikipedia:
It is a retreat people! For the President. Alright, three deep breaths.
No other sitting President has ever gone to these lengths to "have a good time". Between all the parties he and his wife have thrown, the time Not spent at the White House, and now this, I can proudly say, I did Not Vote for the superficial, narcicist that is my President.
If my readers can find an example of a 20th century President behaving this way, please comment. This is an example of "city mouse" meets "country mouse", unfortunately we elected a spoiled brat "city mouse" into the highest office in the land. Oh and by the by the last "city mouse" President we elected built Camp David. AAAAAAGHHHHH!!!

From Fox News:
His public schedule listed no official events, so President Obama had plenty of time to devote to being a weekend dad and spouse.
The president and first lady Michelle Obama watched daughter Malia's soccer game for an hour Saturday morning in the Palisades neighborhood, a short drive from the White House.
For the evening, the first couple jetted to New York City for date night. A Broadway show and probably dinner were on tap.
The White House refused to say how much the trip was costing taxpayers.

From Wikipedia:
Naval Support Facility Thurmont, popularly known as Camp David, is a mountain based military camp in Frederick County, Maryland used as a country retreat and for high alert protection of the President of the United States and his guests.
First known as Hi-Catoctin, Camp David was originally built as a camp for federal government agents and their families, by the WPA, starting in 1935, opening in 1938.[1] In 1942 it was converted to a presidential retreat by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and renamed U.S.S. Shangri-La. Camp David received its present name from Dwight Eisenhower, in honor of his grandson, Dwight David Eisenhower II

New Pentagon policy adds poignancy to Memorial Day
To all of our brave men and women in uniform, past and present, and to all of their family members, I say thank you for your service.

From The Christian Science Monitor:
It is 1 a.m. and nearly dark on the flight line but for the spray of pinkish light that shines at the open door of a cargo plane.
The flag-covered box inside looks like every other one that has come through here. But the family standing in the plane's shadows soon recognizes it as their box. It carries the remains of 1st Lt. Roslyn 'Roz' Schulte, the spirited young Air Force officer who showed such promise, killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan Wednesday. As the box is taken to a waiting truck, the family quietly mourns, grateful at least to be here.
Until recently, the Schultes could never have come. Nor could they have invited the media to share their daughter's sacrifice with a grateful nation. Six weeks ago, Defense Secretary Robert Gates overturned a Gulf War-era policy that forbade families and the media from witnessing the return of America's war dead. The elder President Bush instituted the ban in the belief that pictures of casualties would turn public opinion against the war effort.

Clay Aiken Apologizes For Blasting 'Idol' Runner-up Adam Lambert
I just had an extensive discussion with the Uncooperative Radio Show host; MY Husband Brian; about the whole "American Idol" "crap". He thinks "that the average Joe" should not have a say in who wins. He thinks those that want to "sign" serious talent should be the judge. And then sign up the winner.
aughhhghghghgh!!!!! Oh wait, too logical. And Now there is this:
From Fox News:
My best friend and my daughter are performers in their own rights, one sings and the other dances. They both watch this "what I, Susan Frances Bonner, call "crap TV", and they are starting to hate this show. Ok, whaat the helllll. Yeaeeeeee. Wake up people, we had "The Gong Show" when we were growing up. MUCH BETTER.

From Fox News:
NEW YORK — Clay Aiken says blood didn't truly pour forth from his ears when he heard runner-up Adam Lambert sing "Ring of Fire" — and hey, he's sorry for his "colorful choice of words."
The former Idol contestant writes in a blog on his Web site dated Friday that "I obviously meant it as a colorful statement to imply that I did not enjoy what I heard." He also says he didn't mean it as "a 'slam' on Adam as a person.

Is the American Idol Finale Red State vs. Blue State?
It is true what the Uncooperative Radio show host and my husband has always said; "there is politics in every aspect of our lives." Now, this is a good example of how everything can be "made" to be political. I'll let you read and you decide.
From NewsBusters:
We will find out tonight if blue or red won. We know who won this last election don't we?

From NewsBusters:
The Drudge Report picked up on the New York Daily News pitching tonight's American Idol finale on Fox as a red state vs. blue state battle between Kris Allen of Arkansas and Adam Lambert of California. (As for just how blue Lambert can go, see the Best Week Ever page connected to VH-1, where Lambert's entire face is blue, and his antics are "blue" as well.)
Media outlets like Entertainment Weekly have hinted at Lambert's "flamboyant" appearance -- and rooted for him because of it -- but will Fox be able to handle Lambert in full shock-jock mode? On a show that's been seen as family-friendly?

Girl Scouts exposed: Lessons in lesbianism
Folks, you have got to read "the rest of this story", it's a doosey.
From WND:
Above is just the tip of this political iceberg.

From WND:
When many parents think of Girl Scouts, they imagine young girls in uniform selling Thin Mints and Tagalong cookies – not learning about stone labyrinths, world peace, global warming, yoga, avatars, smudging incense, Zen gardens and feminist, communist and lesbian role models.
But that's exactly what many of 2.7 million Girl Scouts will learn about with a new curriculum called "Journeys" released last year.
Patti Garibay spent nearly two decades in Girl Scouts – six years as a girl member and 13 years as a volunteer. She was also a recruiter, camp coordinator and area delegate winning outstanding leader and volunteer in both councils in which she served. In Garibay's words, she "bled green."
But in 1993 when Girl Scouts USA decided to make God optional in its program at the national convention in Minneapolis, an idea known as "Proposal 3: Flexibility in Spiritual Wording," Garibay chose to leave the organization.
Above is just the tip of this political iceberg.
