Obama's TSA pick plans to 'join' security with unions

Another one of President Obama's unholy alliances.

From World Net Daily:

President Obama's nominee to head the Transportation Security Administration previously boasted to a major union that he looked forward to "joining" with them to add value to TSA security, WND has learned.

In Senate hearings, nominee Erroll Southers has avoided giving a "yes" or "no" answer over whether he would unionize airport security workers. Unions across the U.S., however, have been lobbying hard for Southers' confirmation.

Critics charge unionizing airport security would impose rules on union workers that could impede national security efforts in combating terrorist threats.

Southers is assistant chief in charge of security and intelligence at the Los Angeles airport's police department.

Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C, placed a "hold" on Southers confirmation over concerns he could undermine safety by unionizing airport security.

Water, Electricity Cut Off in Mayon Volcano Danger Zone

I reported on this volcano last week and just thought I would keep ya'all updated.

From Fox News:

Fewer earthquakes have been recorded in the Philippines' lava-spilling Mayon volcano, but the local scientists still believe an eruption to be imminent.

In response to the continued seismic activity at the volcano, Albay Governor Joey Salceda cut off the electricity and water supplies within the extended and permanent danger zones around Mayon Volcano yesterday evening, reports the Manila Bulletin.

Salceda told the paper that the move was designed to is to ensure that people remain away from their homes and out of the danger zone. Reportedly, many evacuees have returned to their homes for the New Year's.

Wealthy, quiet, unassuming: the Christmas Day bomb suspect

I know that this story is still evolving and I do not like to report on something until I can get "the rest of the story". Buuuttt, this news article has some juicy background on this nut job terrorist.

From The Independent:

With his wealth, privilege and education at one of Britain's leading universities, Abdul Farouk Abdulmutallab had the world at his feet – able to choose from a range of futures in which to make his mark on the world.

Instead, the son of one of Nigeria's most important figures opted to make his impact in a very different way – by detonating 80g of explosives sewn into his underpants, and trying to destroy a passenger jet as it came in to land at Detroit Airport on Christmas Day.

As he was charged by US authorities last night with attempting to blow up an airliner, a surprising picture emerged of the would-be bomber.

Iraqi and Iranian forces stand off in oil well row

From Reuters;

Iraqi troops say they will defend the well, where Iranian troops raised a flag for several days this month.

It is unclear how many troops are involved in the stand-off, but as many as 30 lightly armed Iraqi troops usually occupy border outposts in sensitive areas, and up to 10 in other areas. Some 11 Iranian soldiers are stationed near the disputed well.

The seizure of the well, which Iraq says is part of its Fakka oilfield in southeast Maysan province, triggered protests from the government in Baghdad and caused a rise in prices on jittery world oil markets.

The Iranian forces have since pulled back, but Iraq says they are still on its territory, stirring echoes of the border dispute that led to the eight-year Iran-Iraq war in the 1980s, in which about 1 million people died.

"These wells in the Fakka region are Iraqi, and we will defend them to the last drop of blood," said Brigadier-General Razak Abdul Hassan of the Iraqi border guards at Fakka.

The Iranians are 100 meters inside Iraqi territory, he said, some 80 meters from the disputed well. Iraqi troops watch from nearby, and both sides appear to be hunkered down behind earth walls at their bleak desert outposts.

We are not hearing too much about this situation. I am glad that the Iraqi's are stepping up to protect their property, but I do think that the USA should be fighting side by side with them against Iran. This is one time that it would be absolutely justifiable. But, I have no idea what this administration is going to do. They hate the troops.

Both Parties to Highlight Bill in Bid to Win Over 2010 Voters

From The Hill:

Al Franken, the Democrat from Minnesota who won election to the Senate after a successful career as a comic and author, has begun to show the sharp-tongued side of his personality by ripping into GOP staffers behind the scenes.

Franken has worked diligently to keep a low public profile in Congress while focusing on wonky policy debates. But he has been unable to completely repress the fiery passion that made him a hero of the Democratic Party’s liberal base.

Stuart Smalley Sharp-tongued!!! The man is a left wing liberal socialist commie. And anyone can be mean. I am tired of the left thinking they are all that, and way more intelligent than conservatives. Stuart Smalley got his head flushed in a toilet too many times and hasn't gotten over it. I cannot believe he was elected to the Senate by the people of Minnesota. In fact I don't believe it. I think the election was rigged.

Priest in Britain Advises Congregation to Shoplift

Merry Christmas All.

From Fox News:
Father Tim Jones, a 41-year-old clergyman at St. Lawrence Church in York, England, said that shoplifting — rather than prostitution or burglary — is sometimes the best option for poor people struggling to make ends meet, according to the Web site.

"My advice as a Christian priest is to shoplift," Jones reportedly told churchgoers during his Sunday sermon. "I do not offer such advice because I think that stealing is a good thing, or because I think it is harmless, for it is neither."

"I would ask that they do not steal from small family businesses, but from large national businesses — knowing that the costs are ultimately passed on to the rest of us in the form of higher prices," he continued.

This man is not a Christian. He is a left wing nut job that needs to be "tarred and feathered and de-robed". Jesus is not pleased folks.

Government Orders Airlines to Let Passengers Off Stranded Planes or Face Fines

This entire issue is "unconstitutional". First of all, there should be no way your constitutional rights fly away into the sky the minute you board a plane. Did my readers know that? Yea, you are under federal law, and the captain of the plane gets to decide what you can and cannot do. Wonderful huh?

From The AP;
WASHINGTON -- The Obama administration took aim Monday at tarmac horror stories, ordering airlines to let passengers stuck in stranded airplanes get off the plane after three hours.

With its new regulations, the Transportation Department sent an unequivocal message on the eve of the busy holiday travel season: Don't hold travelers hostage to delayed flights.

"Airline passengers have rights, and these new rules will require airlines to live up to their obligation to treat their customers fairly," Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood said in a statement.

Under the new regulations, airlines would be fined $27,500 per passenger for each violation of the three-hour limit, LaHood said.

The Air Transport Association, a trade group that represents U.S. airlines, said in a statement that carriers would comply with the new rule even though the group contends it will lead to canceled flights and greater passenger inconvenience.

If I want to get off the plane, I should be able to get off the plane. The Transportation Dept. is unconstitutional, therefore anything they mandate is unconstitutional. We want our country back!!!!

Walter Reed performs rare transplant of pancreas cells

From The Washington Post;
You have got to read this article. This is just too cool. God, bless him and his loved ones for going through all this.

A 21-year-old airman who was shot in the abdomen at a remote outpost in Afghanistan last month underwent a rare procedure at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in which cells were rescued from his severely damaged pancreas and transplanted into his liver.

The procedure has been done only about 200 times, and almost always for a severe disease called pancreatitis. Surgeons at Walter Reed think this was the first case of pancreatic "autotransplantation" after a traumatic injury, although that claim could not be independently verified.

The operation involved removing the airman's pancreas at Walter Reed; flying the organ to Miami, where the cells were extracted and preserved; and then returning the cells to Washington, where they were infused into the patient's liver. There the cells become permanent residents, secreting hormones into the bloodstream and performing part of the function of the original pancreas. The process occurred over less than 24 hours and involved about 60 people.

There is just so much about this story that is heartwarming and wonderful. This is God, folks, out of tragedy, comes hope. Out of a hateful, violent act, comes new technology, and a new way of life. I don't care how many of us "infidels" those disgusting murderers try to kill, they will never crush our spirits, and we will prevail.

Up to 56,000 more contractors likely for Afghanistan, congressional agency says

I know that libs and conservatives alike have a problem with the surge. But, since WWII we have waged war with the intent of "nation building". Contractors build things, so there you go.

From The Washington Post:

The surge of 30,000 U.S. troops into Afghanistan could be accompanied by a surge of up to 56,000 contractors, vastly expanding the presence of personnel from the U.S. private sector in a war zone, according to a study by the Congressional Research Service.

Gibson Empathizes with Obama: 'Holy God, What a Weight that Is on Your Shoulders'

Bye, Bye, Charles Gibson, oh, bye, bye and again, bye,bye.
From Newsbusters;
In his swan song interview with President Barack Obama, which consumed more than ten minutes of World News, ABC's Charles Gibson couldn't have provided a friendlier or more empathetic platform to Obama on the “weight” of sending troops to war and how “devilishly difficult” it's become to pass health care plan because of a few rogue Senators. Gibson, set to retire Friday, teased his last Wednesday newscast:

The Uncooperative Radio Show Host and I call these people "Morons" all the time on our Radio Show, we call these morons; the "Lame Stream Media", but now I think, that, that is too nice a term for this verman.

Unwitting Tourists Have Breakfast With Obama

What the Hellll!!!! is going on in my White House. Yes, people it is our White House. And, as much as I cannot stand, this President, Vice President, First Lady, all the cabinet members, the Czars, and anyone else my Commie President has appointed, (wait, I need to take a breath,)aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. Ok, I can continue, I do not want him killed. My President and et al need to be protected at all costs. I will allow my money to be spent on that endeavor.

From the AP
;

It was not a state dinner, and they did not crash it on purpose.

Still, a couple who showed up at the White House a day early for a tour somehow wound up at an invitation-only breakfast with President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle. It left to the White House once again to explain how people who were not on an event guest list wound up being ushered into the presidential mansion anyway.

The improbable adventure of Harvey and Paula Darden, Obama supporters from Georgia, took place on Veterans Day, two weeks before Virginia socialites Tareq and Michaele Salahi infamously crashed the Obamas' state dinner for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The Dardens mistakenly showed up a day early for a tour scheduled through their congressman.

The White House and Secret Service both said the Dardens went through the appropriate security screenings and were allowed into the breakfast as a courtesy because there were no public tours the day they arrived.

I really would love input from my beloved Uncoopertive readers on this one. Again, what the Hellllll?

TSA accidentally reveals airport security secrets

Oh, this is just Lovely.

From the Washington Post:

The Transportation Security Administration inadvertently revealed closely guarded secrets related to airport passenger screening practices when it posted online this spring a document as part of a contract solicitation, the agency confirmed Tuesday. The 93-page TSA operating manual details procedures for screening passengers and checked baggage, such as technical settings used by X-ray machines and explosives detectors. It also includes pictures of credentials used by members of Congress, CIA employees and federal air marshals, and it identifies 12 countries whose passport holders are automatically subjected to added scrutiny.

TSA officials said that the manual was posted online in a redacted form on a federal procurement Web site, but that the digital redactions were inadequate. They allowed computer users to recover blacked-out passages by copying and pasting them into a new document or an e-mail. Current and former security officials called the breach troubling, saying it exposed TSA practices that were implemented after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and expanded after the August 2006 disruption of a plot to down transatlantic airliners using liquid explosives. Checkpoint screening has been a fixture of the TSA's operations -- as well as a lightning rod for public criticism of the agency's practices.

This is just typical during our current "super information age". Just remember, that nothing is secret anymore. So take precautions with your personal info. Cause God knows we can't trust the government or any establishment to do so. But we want to trust them with our health care, and our banking, and our cars, and and and. Well you get it.

Americans Skeptical of Science Behind Global Warming

The Uncooperative Radio Show Host and I can't stand that we must talk about this subject over and over and over again, but it seems we have no choice and it is not going away any time soon. Sorry :(

From Rasmussernreorts;

Most Americans (52%) believe that there continues to be significant disagreement within the scientific community over global warming.

While many advocates of aggressive policy responses to global warming say a consensus exists, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 25% of adults think most scientists agree on the topic. Twenty-three percent (23%) are not sure.

But just in the last few days, White House spokesman Robert Gibbs seemed to reject any such disagreement in a response to a question about global warming, “I don't think … [global warming] is quite, frankly, among most people, in dispute anymore.”

Fifty-nine percent (59%) of Americans say it’s at least somewhat likely that some scientists have falsified research data to support their own theories and beliefs about global warming. Thirty-five percent (35%) say it’s Very Likely. Just 26% say it’s not very or not at all likely that some scientists falsified data.

This skepticism does not appear to be the result of the recent disclosure of e-mails confirming such data falsification as part of the so-called “Climategate” scandal. Just 20% of Americans say they’ve followed news reports about those e-mails Very Closely, while another 29% have followed them Somewhat Closely.

That’s a lower level of interest than has been shown about the White House party crashers and suggests that Americans have had their doubts about the science of global warming for some time.

Please, Please, read the rest. My Uncooperative Readers are going to need all the Amo I can give them when it comes to this issue. Trust me, it's not going to go away. I wish it would.

Weather Talk: 2009 Atlantic hurricane season was a quiet one

My Dad lives in Florida now and Brian I lived in North Florida for seven years on five acres with our chickens, goats, rabbits and pigs. Every year we knew that there would be hurricanes, tornadoes, massive lighting strikes, and tropical storms. So what's up with this season? What's up with this? Is it "global warming"? No, wait, "global climate change"? Or maybe it's because of "global cooling". Your guess is as good as mine, because God knows, the experts haven't a clue. So read this and let me know what you think, my Uncooperative Readers.

From inforum.com;

The 2009 Atlantic hurricane season officially ended Nov. 30, and, from the point of view of the hurricanes, it was a dud. For people living along the Gulf and Atlantic seaboards, it was a pleasant breather. Across the Atlantic basin, there were only nine named tropical systems and just three that reached hurricane force.

Govt will need to help shape U.S. media: Waxman

This is not good;

From Reuters;

WASHINGTON- A top Democratic lawmaker predicted on Wednesday that the government will be involved in shaping the future for struggling U.S. media organizations.

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, saying quality journalism was essential to U.S. democracy, said eventually government would have to help resolve the problems caused by a failing business model.

Waxman, other U.S. lawmakers and regulators are looking into various options to help a newspaper industry hurt by the shift in advertising revenues to online platforms.

Ok, Mr. Waxman, first, we are a "Republic", second, we the people, are sick and tired of you commie lawmakers "bailing" everything and everyone "out". Stop Spending My Money!!! What say you out there?

Global Warming Scandal Makes Scientific Progress More Difficult, Experts Say

This story is going to continue to evolve, so I will be reporting on it again, and again. But this is important stuff. They, and what I mean by "they", includes individuals, powerful people with lots of money, NGO's, and world governments, are trying to take our freedoms away. Especially our freedom of choice. Choice on how we live, choice on where we live, choice on what we consume, and why we make the choices we do. Serious stuff, people.

From Fox News:

The trustworthiness of the scientific community's global warming data pool is being called into question as the scandal over climate data continues to unfold.

The latest revelation came on Sunday with the publication of a report by The Sunday Times of London that scientists at the University of East Anglia’s Climate Research Unit in the United Kingdom confessed to throwing out most of the raw temperature data on which the theory of global warming is founded.

The loss of the data prevents other scientists from checking it to determine whether, in fact, there has been a long-term rise in global temperatures during the past century and a half.

"They are making scientific progress more difficult now," says Willie Soon, a physicist, astronomer and climate researcher at the solar and stellar physics division of the Harvard University-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. "This is a shameful, dark day for science," he said in an interview with FoxNews.com.
