At least 119 dead in South Pacific tsunami

Ok, I'm going to tell you this part of the story, so you can get, "the rest of the story". Shall we begin;

From USA Today:

HONOLULU — The South Pacific earthquake hit at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday, followed 10 minutes later by the first of four killer waves that hit American Samoa, Samoa and Tonga.

They were not huge by Hawaii big-wave standards —, up to 20 feet according to Togiola Tulafono, the governor of American Samoa, who was in Honolulu Tuesday for a conference.

But in a low-lying, island nation of about 65,000 people, the kinetic energy of the earthquake-born waves was powerful enough to knock out a major bridge, destroy homes and major roads and send cars crashing into one another, Tulafono said.

Now link and read this;

From Newsmax:

WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama has declared a major disaster for American Samoa, a day after an earthquake sent a massive tsunami toward Samoa and American Samoa, leaving at least 99 dead and dozens missing.

Obama said the Federal Emergency Management Agency is in contact with emergency responders, and the U.S. Coast Guard is helping deliver resources to areas in need of assistance.

The disaster declaration allows the United States to provide the support necessary for a "full, swift and aggressive response," the president said.

There are three angles to this story. First, what the hell are we doing in Samoa in the first place. I think I'll look that one up. How about you? Second, we are going to yet "again", bail out another so called "state" when there is a disaster. And what's ever worse is that American Samoa is a "territory". This is Unconstitutional. And third, where the Hellll is sweeper of the House, Nancy Peohosie. She's a millionairess, aren't they part of her district? Why hasn't she taken her private plane, (one that is paid for by tax payer dollars), and rushed down there to comfort her "peeps". Where are your Sweeper? Samoa needs their Momma.

Look States need to take care of themselves. And that goes for all the wild fires in my adopted state of Montana. I know, but that would not be for the "greater Good". Has anyone given any thought to the notion of self reliance as a tool to help humans grow in spirit and become strong in mind.

GM to shut down Saturn after deal with Penske falls apart

This was one of the better car manufactures for at least a decade or more. But now, thanks to the Federal Government, a company that has been successful and thriving is going to go under. Good Job President G.W. Busch and Obama. Yes, I am not a two party person. I am a conservative. My elected cockroaches screwed up yet again. Oh wait, the American people screwed up, cause you Elected Them.

From USA Today;

DETROIT — After months of negotiations aimed at saving the Saturn brand, General Motors said Wednesday it will stop making Saturn vehicles this year and wind down the brand by the end of 2010.

Saturn's last hope, a sale to Penske Automotive Group, fell apart Wednesday afternoon. A Penske statement said it was notified that its tentative deal with an undisclosed automaker to supply vehicles to sell as Saturns had been rejected by that company's board.

A deal signed in June for GM to sell the brand to the dealer chain run by entrepreneur and former race driver Roger Penske called for GM to supply Saturn's current Aura, Outlook and Vue vehicles for two to three years. Penske was responsible for finding another supplier for vehicles after that.

Government to Intensely Track for H1N1 Shot Side Effects

This is tooo much. I just did my Radio Show tonight, "Ask this Nurse", on BogTalkRadio about this very subject. And I talked about side effects of the Vaccine. Too Cool. So read on "MacBeth".

From Fox News:

WASHINGTON — More than 3,000 people a day have a heart attack. If you're one of them the day after your H1N1 flu shot, will you worry the vaccine was to blame and not the more likely culprit, all those burgers and fries?

The government is starting an unprecedented system to track possible side effects as mass flu vaccinations begin next month. The idea is to detect any rare but real problems quickly, and explain the inevitable coincidences that are sure to cause some false alarms.

"Every day, bad things happen to people. When you vaccinate a lot of people in a short period of time, some of those things are going to happen to some people by chance alone," said Dr. Daniel Salmon, a vaccine safety specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services.

Health authorities hope to vaccinate well over half the population in just a few months against swine flu, which doctors call the 2009 H1N1 strain. That would be a feat. No more than 100 million Americans usually get vaccinated against regular winter flu, and never in such a short period.

How many will race for the vaccine depends partly on confidence in its safety. The last mass inoculations against a different swine flu, in 1976, were marred by reports of a rare paralyzing condition, Guillain-Barre syndrome.

I don't want this to be a "fear mongering blogger site", but you have got to get the facts. Knowledge is the weapon of choice in this fight, and many other fights we have ahead of us.

NYT Tries to Deflect Charges of Bias, Announces 'Opinion Media' Editor

Now this is interesting.

From Newsbusters;

The New York Times announced today that it would appoint an editor to monitor 'opinion media'. In an attempt to respond to criticism that it has been too slow to pick up on stories first reported by conservative blogs and talk show hosts, the Times acknowledged poor coverage, but denied a political agenda.

The self-proclaimed 'paper of record' was extremely slow in picking up on two recent stories. The first, the 'trutherism' of former White House Green Jobs Czar Van Jones, was initially reported by Pajamas Media, and later by Glenn Beck on his Fox News talk show. The Times did not cover the story until after Jones had resigned.

So, how many conservative blogs are they monitoring as well. Not to mention the Conservative Talk Radio Shows on the internet like; The Uncooperative Radio Show. And now the Old Grey Lady, the bastion of all that is the "Liberal, Commie" media, will be using us as their information source. This is just Fabulous! Keep up the pressure people, it's working. We will get our country back, even if it takes us one inch at a
time.

Netanyahu Condemns U.N. for Allowing Ahmadinejad to Deliver Address

Good for him. I wish our elected cockroaches would follow his lead. But they won't.

From Fox News:

Holding aloft evidence of Hitler's Final Solution, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday railed against Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for his denial of the Holocaust and scolded the United Nations for allowing Ahmadinejad to speak during its opening session of the 64th U.N. General Assembly.

With detailed reminders in hand of the war that sent 6 million Jews to their deaths in concentration camps, including construction blueprints for Auschwitz, Netanyahu took his turn at the dais to recall the agreement within the world body to create the Jewish state and express astonishment at what he witnessed a day earlier in that organization's great hall.

He commended those who boycotted Ahmadinejad's speech, but condemned those who allowed it.

Agencies Instructed to Separate Politics from Grant Awards

It doesn't matter if they halt all the Unconstitutional, Left Wing, Commie programs. The problem is that they put them out there and try to push them on the American People. Our "precious" President is "community organizing" from the highest Office in the Land and the World. Do not stop people, keep the pressure on. Open your eyes, be Uncooperative Readers, Listeners, and Citizens. Maybe the whole point to the "Commies" coming out of the closet, was for us to fight for our Constitution and freedom. Maybe this is the tipping point. Let's tip for conservative values and the Constitution of These United States of America. Let's fight and get our Republic back. The Left chant "Cumbaya", conservatives need to start chanting:: The Constitution Is The Solution".

From The New York Times:

WASHINGTON — The White House on Tuesday instructed government agencies to keep politics away from the awarding of federal grants, a step taken as the administration sought to minimize the fallout after an official at the National Endowment for the Arts urged artists to advance President Obama’s agenda.The new guidelines were issued at a meeting between White House officials and chiefs of staff across the executive branch, after the disclosure of a conference call last month in which artists were asked to work with the Corporation for Public Service to promote Mr. Obama’s health care, education and environmental proposals.

“We regret any comments on the call that may have been misunderstood or troubled other participants,” said Bill Burton, a deputy White House press secretary. “We are fully committed to the N.E.A’s historic mission, and we will take all steps necessary to ensure that there is no further cause for questions or concerns about that commitment.”

A White House memorandum, distributed to agencies across the executive branch, told officials that grant decisions should be made on their merits and government officials should avoid creating an appearance that politics was involved in any decisions. The administration does not believe the N.E.A. conference call violated the law, Mr. Burton said, but conceded that it bothered some participants who said it crossed the line by promoting the president’s agenda.

Captured Insane Killer Duped Friend to Escape

I worked as an evening Nurse Supervisor for four years at a facility that housed Developmentally Disabled adults. Although most of them were more like children. Some were violent, some were sex offenders, and some were, well, just plain crazy. They lived in houses that are much nicer than any house I ever lived in and they got to destroy them and their contents on a regular basis. Then, the State would just pay to repair and replace that which was destroyed. Needless to say, I quit. There was a lot of things about that job that bothered me, but the one that really got to me was; How in the hell could they put a facility without gates or fences next to a High School and keep sex offenders there?

SEATTLE — An insane killer who slipped away from the staff of a mental institution during a trip to a county fair was recaptured Sunday, three days after he escaped his monitors — and more than 180 miles away.

With a helicopter overhead and dozens of federal, state and local law enforcement officers swarming around Goldendale, 47-year-old Phillip Arnold Paul walked out to a highway in south-central Washington state just as search personnel arrived at the scene, Klickitat County Sheriff Rick McComas said.

"He came out of the brush, onto the roadway, as law enforcement officers were going by," McComas told The Associated Press. "His intent was to voluntarily give himself up because he knew we were going to find him."

But Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie D. Knezovich said Paul had just tried to thumb a ride from an area resident who alerted authorities, and seemed to be trying to remain on the loose.

Paul had told a friend in Spokane for months that he was going to be released from the Eastern State State, a mental institution. He went to the friend's house Thursday after escaping during the Spokane County Interstate Fair, Knezovich said in a release.

U.S. to Reveal Euro Missile Defense Plan

From the AP:

WASHINGTON - The Obama administration appears likely to adopt a compromise European missile defense plan that shelves many of the components that have been a major irritant in relations with Russia, with an announcement expected Thursday.

Obama's top military adviser, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen, told The Associated Press on Wednesday that the administration was "very close" to the end of a seven-month review of a missile defense shield proposal, an idea that was promoted by the George W. Bush administration. Mullen would not divulge its results.

President Barack Obama faces the dilemma of either setting back the gradual progress toward repairing relations with Russia or disappointing two key NATO allies that agreed to host components of the planned system.

Administration officials were expected to brief lawmakers and government officials in Poland and the Czech Republic on results of the review on Thursday, according to an administration official and a congressional aide. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak on the record.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates scheduled a news conference Thursday with a top military leader, Marine Gen. James Cartwright, who has been a point man on the technical challenge of arraying missiles and interceptors to defend against long-range missiles that an aggressor such as Iran might lob at the U.S. or its allies. Two military officials said the news conference would concern the missile defense plans.

Obama took office undecided about whether to continue to press for the European system and said he would study it. His administration never sounded enthusiastic about the plan, and European allies have been preparing for an announcement that the White House would not complete the shield as designed.

Again My President Obama is selling our national sovereignty down the tubes. Yea, Yea, Yea!

Liberals Pressure Schwarzenegger to Proclaim 'Harvey Milk Day'

Oh my goodness, the gays in this country are a piece of work, I'll tell ya what. Do they think the louder they scream "you must accept us, you must love our way of life, you must teach your kids about Homo sex", that it will help their case to win over the hearts and minds of Americans? How has that been working for them so far?

From Newsmax ;

California Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger finds himself in the middle of America’s culture war.

Schwarzenegger will soon decide whether to sign legislation designating May 22 as "Harvey Milk Day."

The day would honor the first openly gay person elected to U.S. public office.

But a coalition of conservative and outraged Christian groups claim that the commemoration is intended to promote the gay and lesbian life style in public schools.

Carter 'Racism' Claim Draws Widespread Criticism

Here we go again.

From Fox News;

Former President Jimmy Carter drew widespread criticism Wednesday for saying in an interview that Rep. Joe Wilson's "You lie!" outburst last week was "based on racism" and that an "overwhelming portion" of similar demonstrations against President Obama are rooted in bigotry.

Obama's supporters have attributed racist motives to some opponents of his health care plan for weeks, but Carter is the highest-profile person so far to push that claim.

While some anti-Obama demonstrators have been seen carrying over-the-top or racially offensive signs, administration critics say Carter is flat wrong to claim that those fringe protesters make up the bulk of Obama's detractors.

What "racial" signs? My husband and I watched the rally, what they were broadcasting anyway, and never saw a sign that had anything to do with race. We even had one of the protesters on our Radio show and he said it everyone got along, no violence, no problems. Again, President Obama cannot be criticized, ever, by anyone.

Patrick Swayze Dies of Pancreatic Cancer at 57

We are losing our Hollywood Icons folks. There is few role models for our children in Hollywood left. My Uncooperative Husband and our generation will officially be the last generation to have good messages from what we view on the "big screen". God bless you Patrick, may your journey home be swift.

From The AP :

LOS ANGELES — Patrick Swayze personified a particular kind of masculine grace both on and off screen, from his roles in films like "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" to the way he carried himself in his long fight with pancreatic cancer.

Swayze died from the illness on Monday in Los Angeles, his publicist said. He was 57.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," Annett Wolf said in a statement Monday evening. She declined to give details.

Fans of the actor were saddened to learn in March 2008 that Swayze was suffering from an especially deadly form of cancer. He continued working despite the diagnosis, putting together a memoir with his wife and shooting "The Beast," an A&E network drama series for which he had already made the pilot.

New Program Will Teach Students About 9/11

We have had this issue of what our children are being taught in the school setting for weeks now. I want you, the parents and folks out there decide if this is a good thing or not. Feel free to comment and let me know.

From The AP:

NEW YORK — Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined Sept. 11 family members and college professors on Tuesday at a hotel blocks from the World Trade Center site to unveil a plan to teach middle and high school students about the 2001 terrorist attacks.

The 9/11 curriculum, believed to be the first comprehensive educational plan focusing on the attacks, is expected to be tested this year at schools in New York City, California, New Jersey, Alabama, Indiana, Illinois and Kansas.

It was developed with the help of educators by the Brick, N.J.-based Sept. 11 Education Trust, and was based on primary sources, archival footage and more than 70 interviews with witnesses, family members of victims and politicians, including Giuliani and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, a New York senator at the time of the attacks.

The curriculum is taught through videos, lessons and interactive exercises, including one that requires students to use Google Earth software to map global terrorist activity.

One of the main goals is to help students entering middle and high school, who may have been too young to have strong memories of the attacks, to develop a tangible connection to what happened.

"In a few years, we will be teaching students who were not even alive at the time of the attacks," said Anthony Gardner, the executive director of the Sept. 11 Education Trust.

This is timely because we are two days away from 911. Wake up people, we are still at war with Muslim Terrorists. God Bless and keep safe our Republic. The United States Of America.

Some Parents Choose Not to Allow Their Kids to Hear Obama's National Address

Oh for the Love Of Our Divine Creator and our Constitution. What the Helllll is this???

From Fox News:

President Obama is giving bipartisanship one last chance. In an effort to revive a sickly health care reform bill, the president will make a primetime address to both houses of Congress next week -- a joint-session whose very gathering implies an issue of critical importance to the nation.

The joint session for a president will be one of only 13 since 1981 -- outside of electoral vote counts, inaugurations and State of the Union addresses.

The topic of Wednesday's address -- health care -- has already been tried in the same setting, by President Clinton in 1993. And, as was the case 16 years ago, the president hopes the joint session will avert the collapse of efforts to change the nation's health care delivery and payment system.

After a summer of brutal town hall meetings on health care reform, Obama will try to re-galvanize Democrats and recast the debate toward do-or-die bipartisanship.

Listen citizens of this Great United States Of America; YOU ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE. Our President is running scared under his failing ratings, your protests at every Town Hall Meeting and all the Tea Parties. Please keep it going. Here at the Uncooperativebloggers site and on the Uncooperative Radio show; we, as always, will keep up pressure on our elected Cockroaches to stop this tyranny and to adhere to the Constitution. Just like we did when they tried to ram down our throats, the "Frankin Illegal Alien Reform Bill" WE THE PEOPLE,stood up and threw them down. I am so proud to be "An American". Are you?

James Madison on Power and Government

"[A]ll power is originally vested in, and consequently derived from, the people. That government is instituted and ought to be exercised for the benefit of the people;which consists in the enjoyment of life and liberty and the right of acquiring property,and generally of pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety. That the people have an indubitable, unalienable, and indefeasible right to reform or change their government whenever it be found adverse
or inadequate to the purpose of its institution."

Being a very prominent force in the creation of our Constitution I think it is something to always keep in mind.

Notice the source is the internal revenue service (IRS)The bottom 50% of this country only pay 2.89% of the tax BURDEN in 2007, tell me our Federal Government has not been incrementally moving towards socialism and centralizing power.

As to Nationalizing or subsidizing healthcare by the Federal Government: UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Welfare are all UNCONSTITUIONAL!!

The 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution states:
"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people."

There you have it in black and white, if the U.S. Constitution does not explicitly grant a power to the Federal Government, nor specifically prohibit it to the States, it belongs to the States or the people. This means the States can individually take up these social programs, if their Constitution allows it and the people of the state want it.

All those that think there is an individual right are wrong and need to immigrate to the many social/commie countries that already exist, or they need to work to AMEND THE CONSTITUTION!
