A Response to a Left Wing Kool-Aide Drinker

This was my response to a post on gather

“Republican and conservative leaders and corporate interests created and deployed the strategy of attempting to intimidate members of congress by shouting in town hall meetings.”

You have actually bought into this nonsense? This is the PEOPLE standing up against big government, big debt and big taxes.

“Out of that impulse and bolstered by long-established overt racism in certain areas of the country and the visual distaste of seeing a person of color address a joint session of congress as President of the United States, Joe Wilson shouted out his now infamous invective.”

How do you get to assign motives of racism for Wilson shouting out LIAR, especially when it was proved that he was lying, in that bill illegal aliens would have received Health Care, not that they don’t already.

“This indicates to any objective observer that it is Limbaugh and Fox News who are leading the Republican party, setting the agenda and talking points, not the other way around.”

Ah, the Lefts hatred of any voice that disagrees with their own. Free Speech for all that agree with the commies because the ends justifies the means. However, they are actually listening to the MAJORITY of Americans.

“It does have the affect of demonizing the duly elected government of the United States and convincing those people whose grasp of civics and government is less than stellar, that the Democratic leadership and the administration are doing something nefarious, which also is not true.”

Not listening to the MAJORITY of Americans who did NOT want THIS bill and using a parliamentary trick, in a way it was never intended, ask Bird who wrote the law, is unbelievably arrogant. It was President Obama , then Senator who said you can not get your agenda through and a 51 vote and be able to govern. We will see if he was right.

“It was Fox News (Republicans) who promoted and sometimes funded Tea Party gatherings. It was Republicans that were invited to speak at these events and allowed to spew their particular brand of racial hatred and intolerance to those people assembled there. It was at tea parties and other right-wing events where guns were very much in evidence, another attempt to threaten and intimidate the public and ramp up fears against the government.”

First, I did not know Fox News had a party? The bringing up of the talking point on the one event where someone carried a gun openly, where it was legal to do so, tips your hand that you are not informed, this is just talking points. If you where informed, you would have known that was a Black American so, I guess he was a racist and hates white people?

As to the Republicans speaking at some events, I watched them and know people that were there, there was nothing racial discussed. Unless, you are one of those Left wing socialist/marxists that believe that anyone who wishes to go back to following the TRUE INTENT of the Constitution and do not believe in “social justice” and that makes us racist? Yes, we do not believe in redistribution of wealth and neither did those who created the Constitution. Face it everything the Central Government does right now is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, except collecting income taxes thanks to the 16th amendment. Capitalism did not fail, we are not currently a capitalist nation. We have been a psuedo-socialist nation. The Judiciary has given the Government UNCONSTITUTIONAL powers that were NEVER intended by the people who wrote the Constitution. This is a good site to understand the commerce clause. The abuse of this clause has given the central government almost unlimited power. every single bureaucracy, welfare, social security, medicare, foreign aid, disater relief to the states, public works, etc are all unconstitutional because they did not amend the constitution. The founding fathers that created the Constitution was clear as to how the constitution could be changed for future needs, it was not through the judiciary, it was through the amendment process; which requires 3/4ths of the states and 2/3rds of congress. This can be best displayed by James Madison’s Veto of the Public works bill. James Madison is rightly considered the father of The Constitution and no, Jefferson did not write The Constitution, he was busy in France as our Ambassador. Many people from each state of the Confederation debated for Months to come up with our Constitution, at the time our govt. was The Articles of Confederation.

I am tired of typing, can you see a pattern yet?

I know this author will not read the information presented or learn a dang thing, because he wants a country of “social justice” which is another name for communism and means we all get to suffer equally.

White Men Leaving Democrat Party

According to The Times Union White men are abandoning the democrat party over ceasar baracus obamanus' over his fundamental socialist/commie transformation of America. I think there is going to be a landslide in November for the republican party. I am not a party guy, but we have to slow this train wreck down long enough to get true Constitutional Conservatives into power in local and state governments. Once we achieve this we have the states re-assert their Constitutional sovereignty and tell the fed. govt. that we will no longer enforce your unconstitutional mandates or send you unconstitutional money, nor take money from you. Remember, the states created the central government, not the other way around. After that the states hold a Constitutional Convention to amend and fix the wording in the commerce clause, general welfare clause, 14th Amendment, get rid of the 16tth, 17th and 24th Amendments; then put a leash on the judiciary so they cannot expand their power and that of the central government. Then the central government has no power over us and goes back into its Constitutional lock box.

Prudential and other companies to take $100M health care charge in 1Q

We are already finding problems in this unconstitutional health care bill I predict more to follow...

From the ass ociated press:
Insurer Prudential Financial Inc. said Monday that it will take a $100 million charge in the first quarter in relation to the recent health care overhaul legislation.

The life insurance and annuities provider said in a regulatory filing that it will take the charge against earnings in the first quarter.

Prudential joins a growing list of companies that have said they will take accounting charges because of the health care bills. AT&T said last week it would take a $1 billion charge in the first quarter. AK Steel Corp., 3M Co., Caterpillar Inc., Deere & Co. and Valero Energy have also said they would take smaller charges.
The whole concept of the CENTRAL GOVT. providing health care is unconstitutional not just the individual mandate. To say the interstate commerce clause applies is plain wrong. The peopel who wrote this document was clear ass to its meaning and it is just to make trade regular between thee states, in other words, stop one state from Impeding the flow of trade from another or tax it in anyway. The only Constitutional thing the CENTRAL GOVT. can do is stop states from blocking the sale of health insurance across state lines.

For the 2010 Census

This was sent to me via e-mail,

For your assistance in providing an accurate and dutiful response to your law-abiding census workers. - MBray

To Whom it May Concern,

Pursuant to Article I, Section 2, Clause 3 of the Constitution, the only information you are empowered to request is the total number of occupants at this address. My “name, sex, age, date of birth, race, ethnicity, telephone number, relationship and housing tenure” have absolutely nothing to do with apportioning direct taxes or determining the number of representatives in the House of Representatives. Therefore, neither Congress nor the Census Bureau have the constitutional authority to make that information request a component of the enumeration outlined in Article I, Section 2, Clause 3. In addition, I cannot be subject to a fine for basing my conduct on the Constitution because that document trumps laws passed by Congress.

Interstate Commerce Commission v. Brimson, 154 U.S. 447, 479 (May 26, 1894)

“Neither branch of the legislative department [House of Representatives or Senate], still less any merely administrative body [such as the Census Bureau], established by congress, possesses, or can be invested with, a general power of making inquiry into the private affairs of the citizen. Kilbourn v. Thompson, 103 U.S. 168, 190. We said in Boyd v. U.S., 116 U. S. 616, 630, 6 Sup. Ct. 524, and it cannot be too often repeated, that the principles that embody the essence of constitutional liberty and security forbid all invasions on the part of government and it’s employees of the sanctity of a man’s home and the privacies of his life. As said by Mr. Justice Field in Re Pacific Ry. Commission, 32 Fed. 241, 250, ‘of all the rights of the citizen, few are of greater importance or more essential to his peace and happiness than the right of personal security, and that involves, not merely protection of his person from assault, but exemption of his private affairs, books, and papers from inspection and scrutiny of others. Without the enjoyment of this right, all others would lose half their value.’”

Note: This United States Supreme Court case has never been overturned.

Respectfully,

A Citizen of the United States of America

House OKs illegal immigration measure

You go Arizona!!

From The East Valley Tribune:

Without a word of debate, the House on Tuesday gave preliminary approval to a series of changes in state law designed to combat illegal immigration.

HB 2632 would allow police to arrest anyone who is in this country illegally and charge them with trespass, a state offense. That is designed to ensure that officers have clear legal authority to detain illegal immigrants.

This is what the American people have to do. Don't wait for the Federal government to take care of you. Although, the role of the government is to protect its people from invasion. But they are not doing it, so we have to.
Take your states back people, take them back.

Michigan Militia Group Charged With Police-Killing Plot

I am sorry, this reeks of Ruby Ridge and Waco. Remember those incidents people? They arrested these people lickity split. But when it comes to Islamic nut jobs in this country, they take a "let's watch them and wait" approach. You have to ask yourself, why is this happening now? Could it be because the American people are fed up with the government and are becoming more and more vocal? Also ask yourself, does the government need to under mine the conservative movement any way they can? Oh, and all the black Muslim Militia's that we have reported about on this blog last year are boy scouts, right?

From The AP

WASHINGTON -- Nine suspects tied to a militia in the Midwest are charged with conspiring to kill police officers, then attack a funeral in the hopes of killing more law enforcement people, federal prosecutors said Monday.

U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade said agents moved on the group because the
Hutaree members were planning a violent reconnaissance mission sometime in April -- just a few days away.

Members of the group called Hutaree are charged in the case, including their leader, David Brian Stone, also known as "Captain Hutaree."
Once other officers gathered for a slain officer's funeral, the group planned to detonate homemade bombs at the funeral, killing more, according to newly unsealed court papers.

The indictment includes charges of seditious conspiracy, possessing a firearm during a crime of violence, teaching the use of explosives, and attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction -- homemade bombs.

I do not trust what this government is saying, I do not trust what the lame stream media is saying, even Fox News. It is amazing, the last time arrests were made like this was when Clinton and his goons were in power. Hey, wait a minute, Clinton's goons are in power now, huh, that's right, Obama hired them back. And as we speak their web site is being dismantled by the government, I just went there to see what they are all about and links were disappearing as I was trying to access them.

Immigration rally draws thousands to Washington

It didn't take them long, did it? And it was not an "immigration rally", it was an "illegal alien invasion" rally. That is what we call it on our radio show, The Uncooperative Radio Show.

From CNN:

Washington (CNN) -- Tens of thousands of people turned out on Washington's National Mall on Sunday to support the Obama administration in its next big battle, a renewed effort to overhaul U.S. immigration laws.

Speaking by video to the crowd, President Obama said he would do "everything in my power" to get a bipartisan deal within the year.

"You know as well as I do that this won't be easy, and it won't happen overnight," Obama said. "But if we work together across ethnic, state and party lines, we can build a future worthy of our history as a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws."

Obama's appearance was followed by comments from Gustavo Torres, executive director of the Baltimore-based immigrant advocacy group CASA de Maryland. Torres told the crowd, "Mr. President, we are going to hold you accountable."

Yes, Mr. President, a nation of laws that these people don't give a rat's ass of upholding. Congratulations!!!!

Tea Partyers Vow Revenge Over Health Overhaul

This movement is the only movement created by "we the people", run by "we the people", and is the voice of "we the people". I am sorry that the left thinks they are the majority in this country, they are not. They are the minority and need to be crushed like bugs. I was very upset and still am about this "commie" health care bill. But two positive things have come out of this disaster. The first is that The American People Are Awake. The second is that our elected cockroaches have had the light turned on them and cannot scurry under the refrigerator any longer.

Tea party activists aren't just angry that Democrats passed a major healthcare overhaul — they also are out for revenge.

They do not see passage of the landmark reforms that usher in near-universal medical coverage as the end of the debate. Tea partyers instead vow to support attorneys general who plan a lawsuit seeking to declare the law unconstitutional. They are demanding the bill be repealed or not funded and want to kick out of office all supporters of the measure.

So far, the nascent movement has almost reveled in its rebellious and grass-roots nature and has avoided becoming as much a part of the establishment as the Republican and Democratic parties. But some tea party organizers see the healthcare debate as a galvanizing force that could stir its followers to greater action and something to rally around with midterm elections this year.

We must continue to keep the lights blaring on them folks, or our country will surely be plunged into darkness.

Would health care changes be felt immediately?

I know you all have been bombarted with the "commie" health care issue for a year now, but I want my Uncooperative readers to have all the info they can get to combat this socialist threat. So here is some more info to use against the left. You have to read the entire article, I just listed the topics it covers.

From CNN Politics:

One of the options for House Speaker Nancy Pelosi: having the House pass the Senate bill but following up with another vote in both chambers on a series of changes. The idea is to make the legislation more acceptable for House Democrats opposed to the Senate's version.

Although some of the provisions in the reform bill won't be implemented immediately, here's what Democrats say would go into effect in the first year after passage:
Eliminating caps
Pre-existing conditions
Children and pre-existing conditions
Dependent children
Small business tax credits
Preventive care
Appeals process
Help for seniors

Govt. Transparency Down in ‘09

From Fox News:

When President Obama took office, he famously aspired to be the leader in administrative transparency, but now he finds himself struggling to enforce it within his own government.

In fiscal year 2009, 17 major governmental agencies refused to release information, claiming legal exemptions, 466,872 times, an increase of nearly 50 percent from the previous year, according to a review of requests conducted by The Associated Press. In 2008, the government refused 312,683 requests made under the Freedom of Information Act, AP reported.

The AP examined the 2008 and 2009 budget year FOIA reports from the departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Defense, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, Labor, State, Transportation, Treasury and Veterans Affairs; the Environmental Protection Agency; and the Federal Reserve Board.

There are a few issues that have to be addressed. One, Obama is a commie. Two, forget transparency with this administration, it's not going to happen. Three, sweeper of the house, Pelosi, will not "drain the swamp", she is the "queen of the swamp", and the swamp is getting deeper and wider. Four, read the last paragraph and notice how many bureaucracies there are. Too much government, to many "departments". We the people, must stop the madness!!!

National Coffee Party Day flops

We just did the story about this new movement on our radio show, The Uncooperative Radio Show last weekend. This event on Saturday is going to be interesting to watch.

From WorldNetDaily:

Leading up to today's "National Coffee Party Day" – the countrywide launch of a leftwing movement meant as an answer to the tea parties – a CNN article asked, "Will the Coffee Party rise to the scale of the Tea Party movement? Saturday is the first big test."

If "scale" is indeed the measure by which the Coffee Party will be graded, however, today's cup-o'-Joe kickoff has earned a resounding "F."

Despite a news-media buildup over the past few weeks from CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, National Public Radio, Washington Post, Seattle Times and dozens of other outlets, the estimated 350 coffee houses hosting events around the country today welcomed mostly minuscule crowds.

Last year, the fledgling tea-party movement scheduled nearly 2,000 gatherings on April 15, Tax Day. Over the summer, tea partiers packed health-care town halls by the hundreds, overflowing venues and leading to lines running around the block. On Sept. 12, the crowd of tea partiers that flooded Washington, D.C., was estimated into the hundreds of thousands, possibly topping 1 million.

We will be keeping a eye on this movement and will probably do the story on the Uncooperative Radio show this weekend. I love it, the left and our elected "cockroaches" really believe that our Republic is comprised of "commies". Well we shall see Saturday.

The In’s and Out’s of Travel Nursing

By Susan Frances Bonner, author of Opening A Registered Nurses Eyes; A life Altering Journey Across North America

What’s a Travel Nurse? This is a question that I have gotten from numerous patients as I traveled the entire North American Continent, as a Travel Nurse.

So, with that said, I will give you a brief definition of what a Travel Nurse is; from travelnursejobs, org. “Due to a nursing labor shortage and nurse specialization in the early 80s, the travel nurse was born. A travel nurse is a nursing professional who works with a staffing company and typically works at a hospital or healthcare facility in a temporary assignment that is usually 13 or 26 weeks. Travel nursing started as a means for these facilities to fill scheduling shortages resulting from census increases, maternity leaves and vacations.”

I became a Travel Nurse due to the nursing shortage that occurred in North Florida in 1998. The only job I could get was as a Travel Nurse because I lived in a rural area and there were only two hospitals, very few Doctor’s offices and one Home Health Agency outside of said hospitals. I did work for the one Home Health Agency in my area, but was laid off because of the hospitals. (That story will be for another article in the future.)

Travel Nursing, in my humble opinion is the most unique form of Nursing in the field. For starters, you have to have the mind set of becoming an independent contractor. Now, most Nurses know what it means to be independent or we could not do our jobs. But most of us work for either a hospital or other organization. We are given a schedule, shift time and know what departments that we will work in.

When you are a Travel Nurse however, you more than likely will have to be flexible when it comes to all of the above. See, hospitals hire Travel Nurse’s to fill shortages and most shortages occur during evening and night shifts, weekends and holidays. They also usually occur on a floor or department which is very busy and less desirable to work on. And not every hospital will have slots open that cater to your area of expertise. I found this out the hard way. All of these factors have to be carefully considered before you even look for an agency.

Next consideration is choosing an agency. And there are many out there to choose from, which believe it or not is a good thing for you. More agencies mean more competition in the hiring arena, which means that you are more likely to get an assignment that you really want and fits your needs. This is the most important part of becoming a Travel Nurse and by far the most critical. As I alluded to in the previous paragraph, Nurses are not used to being independent contractors. This is where that roll comes into play and it is a hard one to master, at least it was for me.

Make sure you contact more than one agency at a time, while looking for an assignment. I made the mistake of jumping in with both feet with just one agency my first time out. I picked the first agency I found in one of my nursing magazines and ran with them. As I chronicle in my novel; Opening a Registered Nurse’s Eyes, I only learned more about contracts and agencies when I met another Travel Nurse during my first assignment. I call her my “Travel Nurse Guru”.

She taught me that I could solicit more than one agency at a time and I could do so even while working on my current assignment. Pretty cool, huh? It’s just a perk that comes along with being an independent contractor. I didn’t know that at the time, so I ended up taking an assignment with an agency that was very small, did not have many contacts and I got gypped out of a chance to bargain for higher pay and a better place to live. During my first assignment we lived next door to drug dealers.

Once you find an agency that fits your needs; (and please make sure you find one that does), you must be vigilant when you are constructing the contract. I have had so many horrible assignments because I did not cover all of my bases during the contract phase of Travel Nursing.

You have complete control over your contract with an agency. Do not let any agent or agency tell you other wise. Even though they cover you with medical malpractice insurance, pay for your housing, travel expenses and give you a bonus, your professional license is yours. You own it, and you must protect it. You and only you can dictate what you will do as a Nurse. So keep that utmost in your mind when drafting your contract.

I cannot emphasize how important the contract phase is to becoming a happy successful Travel Nurse. It covers your shift, your department, your salary, your living expenses, your living accommodations, your travel expenses and terms of employment, not only with the agency, but what the facility can, and cannot do to you. Be meticulous in this process.

My second assignment was a nightmare because I was not explicit in its wording. See, I since I had graduated nursing school, I had always worked weekends, twelve hour night shifts. So, as a Travel Nurse, I wanted to continue that trend. I found that I was more marketable that way. But when I went to my second assignment, I was told by the assistant nursing supervisor, “I am paying a lot of money for you and I will schedule you when ever and where ever I choose or need you. You are mine for the thirteen weeks you’re working here.” And she had that attitude because I did not stipulate, 7pm-7am weekends, ONLY! One word caused a lot of headaches for me. Don’t let it happen to you.

When you are a Travel Nurse, you visit many places, you see many different types of medical care, and you make a difference. Believe me; I have changed many a floor as a Travel Nurse by bringing my unique perspective to any given hospital.

During my last assignment I had renewed a couple of times because this particular hospital was near the home I owned in Florida. The hospital was in a hiring freeze and many of the Travel Nurse’s did not renew, so we were critically short of nurses. My patient care load went from six to seven patients, up to ten to twelve patients. Very sick patients as well. One night I had a very heavy load and was told I would be getting two more admissions, something I knew I could not handle and would be putting my patients’ well-being in jeopardy. I told the charge nurse I would not take any more patients for the reasons I have stated above. I also explained that if I did take on more patients, I could not safely give my patients proper care due to the acuity of my current load. She told me that she would have to call the hospital supervisor if I refused these patients. I told her to go ahead and that I wanted to talk to her as well about what was going on, on this floor.

The house supervisor called just then and informed the charge nurses that our “census” was going to stay the same for the shift. We would not be getting any admissions that night because we were short staffed. I found out later, that the house supervisor was diverting any new admits to less crowded floors that night. According to existing hospital policy, if a floor was short staffed the supervisor was to be notified and other arrangements had to be made. The key concept here was the notification of the supervisory staff. Would I have done that if I was a regular employee of this hospital? Probably not, but since my contract was with my agency and the hospital was a secondary note, I had the freedom to do the right thing by my patients and the other nurses without fear of being reprimanded. So, keep that in mind when you hit the road.

In conclusion, Travel Nursing is an exciting and challenging form of our Nursing Profession. One for the “not faint of heart”. But one worth exploring if the timing is right and one is up to the adventure. And it is an adventure.

Hygiene as prevention

By Susan Frances Bonner, author of Opening A Registered Nurses Eyes; A life Altering Journey Across North America

Now, before my learnered colleagues turn the page and scoff at the topic of this article, please take into account the times in which we live. There were the E-Coli and Salmonella outbreaks that caused millions of dollars in food and merchandise recalls, there is the threat of Pandemics, including Avian and Swine Flu, and there has been increasing incidences of MRSA infections. Heck, there is just the regular “flu season” that is looming ahead of us this year to consider.

Hygiene is an age old subject that is more timely today than ever. There are many types of Hygiene, but one thing is clear, since the days of Florence Nightingale good hygiene is the hallmark of maintaining good health and preventing the transmission of disease.

The word Hygiene originated in Greek Mythology. From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hygiene)

The term "hygiene" is derived from Hygeia, the Greek goddess of health, cleanliness and sanitation. Hygiene is also the name of the science that deals with the promotion and preservation of health, also called hygienics. Hygiene; refers to the set of practices associated with the preservation of health and healthy living. Hygiene is a concept related to medicine, as well as to personal and professional care practices related to most aspects of living, although it is most often associated with cleanliness and preventative measures. In medicine, hygiene practices are employed to reduce the incidence and spreading of disease. Other uses of the term appear in phrases including: body hygiene, domestic hygiene, dental hygiene, and occupational hygiene, used in connection with public health.

It is our obligation as Health Care Professionals too; not only educate our patients, family and friends about the importance of hygiene and cleanliness; but to practice it. And yes people, I am talking about the most basic of practices: washing one’s hands. As a Travel Nurse I have witnessed, not only Nurses; but Doctors that have gone from one patient to another without touching soap and water. Now that may be acceptable in an emergency situation, but not in an environment that is somewhat stabile.

When should you wash your hands?

Examples include:

* Before preparing or eating food
* After going to the bathroom
* After changing diapers or cleaning up a child who has gone to the bathroom.
* Before and after caring for someone who is sick
* After handling uncooked foods, particularly raw meat, poultry, or fish.
* After blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing
* After handling an animal or animal waste
* After handling garbage
* Before and after treating a cut or wound
* After handling items contaminated by flood water or sewage

Just as hand washing is the first step to good hygiene, keeping one’s body and clothes clean is the next phase. My husband, who was a New York “inner city” Paramedic before I was a nurse; made sure that every time he came home from work he would take his work clothes off at the front door of our home and put it in a garbage bag and then take a shower. A practice that I continued throughout my Nursing career. It was an easy thing to do and taking a relaxing shower after a hard nights work in a busy hospital worked wonders on my psyche.

I am not going to list every type of hygiene in this article, because you as medical professionals know where you can look them up. But I will stress the importance of keeping vigilant when it comes to this important part of our practice. We cannot stop what Florence Nightingale started by just opening a window and giving patients a bath. We must take it further by practicing what we preach.

Comprehensive Amnesty Threat

From NumbersUSA:

Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), who also serves on the House Immigration Subcommittee, responded to Thursday's immigration reform meeting at the White House by calling for more immigration enforcement. Rep. King also joined the recently formed Reclaim American Jobs Caucus.

“If President Obama is serious about addressing the immigration issue, he needs to focus on the millions of Americans who are out of work or worried about losing their jobs,” said Rep. King. "This is the time for the Obama administration to accelerate enforcement of immigration laws to make room for unemployed Americans — not grant amnesty.”

I agree, we also need to seal both borders. Continue the raids on businesses that hire illegals, and when an illegal is found, not only send them back to wherever they came from, but send their families with them. That way we are not being cruel by separating families. They can go with the illegal and live happily ever after.

No Word From American Woman Freed in Alleged Terror Plot, Mom Says

This is just "nuts". Under the Obamanus administration we are going backwards. Yes, it's change, back to the way our country dealt with terrorists. Back to the way that the commies tried to take over our Republic. Back to the Jimmy Carter years. Yea, it's change alright. Now, with that said, why in all that is holy is this "nut job" free?

From Fox News:

LEADVILLE, Colo. — A Colorado woman who says she is the mother of an American held and later released in Ireland over an alleged plot to kill a Swedish cartoonist said Sunday she does not know where her daughter or grandson may be.

Christine Mott, of Leadville, said she learned from federal law-enforcement agencies that her 31-year-old daughter, Jamie Paulin-Ramirez, had been arrested. Irish police said Saturday that they had released an American woman and three others arrested over the alleged plot to kill Vilks, who depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a 2007 sketch with the body of a dog. Police wouldn't confirm whether those released included Paulin-Ramirez.

I have tried to find more on this story, but it is evolving so we are just going to have to keep an eye on this one, folks, for now.

"The Hurt Locker" wins Oscar for best picture

From Reuters:

"The Hurt Locker" won the Academy Award for best picture on Sunday, capping a historic Oscar ceremony that saw the low-budget Iraq war drama vanquish the sci-fi blockbuster "Avatar."

I for one could care less about the Oscars. They are run by socialists, attended by socialists, and won by socialists. But it is part of our culture and not going away anytime soon. It is interesting to note that most Americans did not see these films. At least that is what the polls on conservative talk radio reflected. Oh, except "Up". I will never watch "Avatar". The only blue people I will let into my home are "Smurffs".

Iceland expected to turn down $5.3B bank failure repay

This confused me until I read the entire article. And to tell you the truth, I had no idea how many countries in Europe bailed out other countries. And I did not know how many countries needed to be bailed out.

From USA Today;

REYKJAVIK, Iceland (AP) — Still smarting from the crippling aftermath of the global financial crisis, grudging Icelanders were expected Saturday to vote down a $5.3 billion plan to pay off Britain and the Netherlands for debts spawned by the collapse of an Icelandic Internet bank.

The resounding "no" vote expected at the referendum is indicative of how angry many Icelanders are as the tiny island nation struggles to recover from a deep recession. The global financial crisis wreaked political and economic havoc on Iceland, as its banks collapsed within the space of a week in October 2008 and its currency, the krona, plummeted. The Icelandic government was the first to fall as a result of the meltdown. The deal would require each person to pay around $135 a month for eight years — the equivalent of a quarter of an average four-member family's salary.

In case your not aware, this is happening to us. China and Japan own our debt. What do you think will happen to us if they want it repaid?
Last-minute talks between Iceland, Britain and the Netherlands broke down this week, despite the debtor countries saying they offered better terms — including a significant cut on the 5.5% interest rate in the original deal hammered out at the end of last year.

The British say their "best and final offer has been turned down."

But Iceland continues to hold out for more, aware that any new deal must win substantial political and public support.

Body Scanners Arriving at Many U.S. Airports

I have not stepped foot on a plane since 2003. And I am dreading getting on one. I don't know how all you frequent flyers do it. God bless you.

From The AP:

A TSA official said Friday that units will be fielded next week in Chicago, and in the coming months at Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; San Jose, Calif.; Columbus, Ohio; San Diego; Charlotte, N.C.; Cincinnati; Los Angeles; Oakland, Calif.; and Kansas City.

They are among 150 machines bought with money from the federal stimulus package signed into law by President Obama last year.

Three of the new machines are going online at Boston's Logan International Airport on Monday.

Interview with Frank Ryan, running for Congress

e
Last Sunday on our radio show, The Uncooperative Radio Show; Brian and I interviewed Retired Marine Colonel Frank Ryan. Who is running for Congress in Pennsylvania's District 17. He was by far; one of our best guests. And we support him.

That being said, if you listen to the archives of the show you will find out that "we the people" are the answer. “We” have taken our voices and ourselves to the streets, on the Internet, and on the phone, to let our “elected cockroaches” know, their time is up. “We the People” are using our own money to protest against this Government. That says a lot. Not only is our corrupt Government spending our money to bail out everyone, including foreign countries like Haiti, “we the people” are using our money to try to fight them. The “Tea Party” goers do not have big sponsors to give them money to pay for their cars, trucks, SUV’s and RV’s to ride around the country for the “Constitutional Cause”. But our government has the resources to destroy our country, from within, with our own money.

Two questions that my husband had asked Mr. Ryan were very encouraging in a politician. Two questions we, as citizens of these United States of America should also ask ourselves.

Number One: What is the first question you will ask yourself when considering to vote for a bill?
Do you know the answer? Well it is: Is It Constitutional. And he got it right.

Number Two: What will you be bringing back to your district? And Mr. Ryan said: Nothing.

We have to ask ourselves what we will give up to get something we want. Mr. Ryan wants to go to Congress to take back his District by getting the Government out of his constituent’s lives, by keeping money in his District and in his state, not giving it to the Federal Government. A laudable goal, but one we should all strive to achieve.

It’s going to be hard folks. We are so used to depending on the Government, even me. I have been on unemployment before, had gotten food stamps and have been to the food bank. But I work part time, am trying to start my own business and am a published author of the novel; Opening A Registered Nurse’s Eyes; A Life Altering Journey Across North America. A hand up does not equal a hand down.

Our “Government Cheese” will be ending soon and I pray to God that he will guide us when that happens. I also pray it will not happen, and that the American People will overcome the challenges that are ahead and come out of this a stronger, more self reliant Nation under God and his great blessings.

Senators Seek to Block Stimulus Money for Overseas

The world is truly turning upside down when I agree with anything that comes out of Chuck Schumer's pie hole.

A group of Democratic senators is urging the Obama administration to suspend an economic stimulus program aimed at financing renewable energy, complaining that money is going to projects that are creating jobs in foreign countries.

The four senators, led by Chuck Schumer of New York, wrote to Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Tuesday to request a moratorium on the Recovery Act program. They asked that the moratorium remain in place until they can pass legislation mandating stimulus aid flow only to projects which preserve and create U.S. jobs.

"A critical Recovery Act priority is investment in the domestic renewable and clean energy industry, not investment in foreign manufacturers," the senators wrote in the letter, obtained Tuesday by The Associated Press. The letter, which will be disclosed at a news conference Wednesday, was also signed by Sens. Sherrod Brown of Ohio, Robert Casey of Pennsylvania and Jon Tester of Montana.

Ah yes, my own home grown elected cockroach from Montana has signed on to this unconstitutional nightmare. I am for keeping jobs in The United States of America, but I am not for "green jobs". They have not worked anywhere else they were implemented, in any other country. And for every "one green" job the companies lost "two regular jobs".

67% Say Illegal Immigrants Are Major Strain on U.S. Budget

I know this article has a lot of stats in it but it is very interesting

From rasmussenreports.com

As the country wrestles with a future of historic-level deficits, 67% of U.S. voters say that illegal immigrants are a significant strain on the U.S. budget.

A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 23% disagree and do not believe illegal immigration is a strain on the budget.

Two-out-of-three (66%) voters say the availability of government money and services draw illegal immigrants to the United States. Nineteen percent (19%) think otherwise and do not believe government money and services are a magnet for illegal immigration. Another 15% are not sure.

Your just not hearing this from the Lame Stream Media.

Mike Malloy's Brain on Puree: Yells That 'Tea Bagger Freaks' Want to Eat and Breathe Poison

It seems that the left is fighting back against "us". The regular folks who are not "progressing towards communism".

From NewsBusters.org;

On Friday night, ranting leftist radio host Mike Malloy attacked conservative and libertarian "tea bagger freaks" for opposing Big Government, which he equated with "You want to eat poison! You want to breathe poison"

That was the first attack. This is the next attack.

Ratigan Goes Nuts: Accuses Tea Party Organizer of Including People who Want to 'Kill Blacks and Jew.
You almost need a flak jacket to go on an MSNBC show these days - at least judging by the rapid fire attacks displayed on the March 2 "The Dylan Ratigan Show."

Either host Dylan Ratigan was trying to play to MSNBC's rabid liberal audience or he really has it in for the Tea Party movement based on some exaggerated notion it is nothing but hate and fear mongers

The hell with the Flak jacket. I say your gonna need full body armor, and flame retardant clothing.

3 Homeland Security computers lost daily

From WorldNetDaily

Federal documents obtained under a Freedom of Information Act request reveal that two divisions of the Department of Homeland Security – charged with assuring the integrity of U.S. borders and the safety of residents – lost nearly three computers every day for a year.

But an official statement assures citizens that no "sensitive" data was lost.

A report on the computers, which were designated as "lost" or "not found during physical inventory," was issued by the Independence Institute in Golden, Colo., after it obtained the federal paperwork.

Federal agencies also "lost" several computer switches valued at some $90,000 apiece and a multitude of vehicles, including a truck worth about $116,000.

But Jon Caldara, president of the institute, said the absence of documentation about the information on the missing computers
is what is most alarming.

Now, the article goes on to say "there's no need to be alarmed, "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain". This administration is a piece of work. Well all bureaucracies really. When I worked for the state as a Nursing supervisor, five years ago, they bought all new computers for every department, but they did not wipe the hard drives clean so everyone's passwords and any personal information that you were stupid enough to store on, said hard drive, went out into the public. Nice huh?
Not only did they use your tax dollars to update the computers, but they had to hire people to get the computers back and wipe the hard drives.
I love the government.
The report by the Independence Institute's Todd Shepherd revealed that for fiscal year 2008, inventories from the Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Customs and Border Protection divisions show employees collaborated to lose no fewer than 985 computers.

Last week on our radio show; the UncooperativeRadio show. We reported that The Department of Homeland Security was loosing firearms as well. What the Hell?
