Sticker shock as food and gas prices are set to go higher
You don't have to be an expert to notice that costs for many essentials are at all-time high. From gas to food, Americans can expect to pay even more in coming months. The current national average for a gallon of gasoline is $3.67, higher than it's been since 2008.

Why Are Gas Prices So High?
High gas prices are caused by commodities traders. They bid up the price of gas contracts on the commodities futures markets. These commodities exchanges allow investors to buy contracts of gasoline for future delivery at an agreed-upon price. However, many traders have no intention of taking ownership of the gasoline. They plan to sell the contract for a profit, instead.

Obama Creates New National Monument

This is an article from March 11 2014 that no one and I mean no one was talking about.

From thinkprogress.org

On Tuesday, President Obama held a ceremony at the White House to announce his use of executive authority to expand the California Coastal National Monument (CCNM) to include the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands on the Mendocino Coast. This is the first land-based addition to the CCNM and permanently protects more than 1,660 acres of beach, bluffs, and the Garcia River estuary. The area is home to rare and endangered species such as coho salmon, steelhead, the Point Arena mountain beaver, and the Behren’s silverspot butterfly. The Mendocino Coast of California was recently picked for the number 3 spot in the New York Times “52 Places to Go in 2014.”

Yes, I know that Obama is not the first to do this, but enough is enough. It is time for the States to stand up and take back their land. The Antiquities Act is Un-Constitutional and null and void. As all Un-Constitutional laws are. Stand up people and grow a pair. And yes, I am a radical. As radical as all of our Founding Fathers. Oh, and IMPEACH OBAMA!!!!

Spring Equinox
MARCH 20TH is the first day of spring, or vernal equinox, as it's known to astronomers, vernal meaning "of or pertaining to spring," equinox meaning "equal night." As the angle of the earth's inclination toward the sun changes throughout the year, lengthening or shortening the days according to season and hemisphere, there are two times annually when day and night are of more or less equal length: the spring and autumnal equinoxes.

Spring Equinox
When Julius Caesar established his calendar in 45 BC he set 25 March as the spring equinox. Because a Julian year (365.25 days) is slightly longer than an actual year the calendar drifted with respect to the equinox, such that the equinox was occurring on about 21 March in AD 300 and by AD 1500 it had reached 11 March.

GOODLATTE: PRESIDENT OBAMA AGAIN UNILATERALLY IGNORES IMMIGRATION LAWS

I am sick and tired of these elected Cockroaches whining about the President and what he is doing. Impeach him already and stop bitching! I do not care if the Senate does nothing! Let the people know what this man is doing to our country. Lay out all the Unconstitutional actions he has taken. Not because it won't work but because it is the Rule Of Law and the right thing to do.

A press release from Bob Goodlatte:

“President Obama has once again abused his authority and unilaterally refused to enforce our current immigration laws by directing U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to stop removing broad categories of unlawful immigrants.  The primary reason why our immigration system is broken today is because our immigration laws have largely been ignored by past and present administrations.  It’s imperative that we prevent this from happening again by taking away the enforcement ‘on/off’ switch from the President.  That’s why the House Judiciary Committee approved the SAFE Act, which prevents the Executive Branch from unilaterally turning off immigration enforcement by granting states and local governments the authority to enforce federal immigration laws.

So what is the SAFE Act? I know that this article is from a quasi lefty group, but it will give you an overview and a link to the entire bill. Which is Unconstitutional and not needed. Just let the States handle this issue as they see fit!

From Immigration Policy Center:

On June 6, 2013, the House Judiciary Committee considered H.R. 2278, the “Strengthen and Fortify Enforcement Act,” commonly known as the SAFE Act. This wide-ranging immigration enforcement bill would make unlawful presence in the United States a criminal act punishable with jail time, greatly expand detention of immigrants, authorize states and local governments to create their own immigration enforcement laws, and impose harsher penalties and restrictions for immigration violations, among other enforcement-related provisions.

The U.S. has located 300 Marines in northern Jordan near the border with Syria along with a Patriot anti-aircraft missile system, that report from the Times of London. The U.S. military says those marines are only there as part of a military training exercise.  Other than that, we know very little about the role of those marines other than the fact that they will remain there for at least several months.
