Congressional Pardon for Ramos and Campean

Ramos and Campean were sentenced to 11 and 12 years for giving an illegal alien drug smuggler a flesh wound! They should not have been tried at all and would not have been if not for the Mexican government. But to sentence them as if they committed murder is unconscionable!

U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, a longtime ally of President Bush, is being targeted by lawmakers and others across the country because of his successful prosecution of three U.S. Border Patrol agents and a deputy sheriff on charges of violating the civil rights of illegal aliens.
One congressman accused Mr. Sutton of being "on the wrong side of the border war"; another called the prosecutions "the worst betrayal of American defenders I have ever seen"; one said the cases were a "grotesque misdirection of our judicial system"; and another introduced a bill, now co-sponsored by 90 House members, calling for congressional pardons.

Contact your elected Cockroaches and tell them to Pardon Ramos and Campean! Because you know President Bush will never pardon them.

I just got off the phone with Joe Loya, who is "Nacho"
Ramos's father-in-law, who assured me that his son-in-law
remains in good spirits even though he is sequestered
and unable to contact his family but for a few precious
moments each month.

Likewise, Jose Compean's wife, Patty, reported that Jose is
being well-treated and is in good spirits. In fact, she says,
"His best friend just visited him and reports that he's
actually able to find some humor in his situation."

Brian, the White House, Johnny Sutton and others would
love to see these two agents fade to black. We cannot allow
that to happen. We need to keep the light burning bright
on this issue, and there are two ways to do that.

We are asking our team to encourage these men by writing
letters, and letting them know that you continue to care,
and work toward their freedom. I was told that Nacho Ramos
has only letters from friends and family and his Bible
to read.

Protecting the Children of Illegal Immigrants….and other criminals

Congress today announced it’s intention to investigate the treatment of the children of families torn apart by enforcement of Immigration laws.

U.S. Rep. William Delahunt joined Sens. Edward Kennedy and John Kerry and U.S. Rep. Barney Frank, all Democrats, at a meeting of family members Sunday……..SOURCE

In a possible statement they noted:

” It is our intent and determination that innocent children should not suffer at the hands of heavy handed Government action.
Enforcement of immigration law has exacted a horrible toll on these kids and as responsible Government representatives we intend to protect the rights of these unfortunate victims of what we consider to be unnecessarily harsh Government treatment.”

“These families don’t understand why they are being treated this way. The children are suffering fear and mental anguish as their parents are being taken away from them and they find themselves destitute…..”

Enforcement of immigration law has exacted a horrible toll on these kids, and Congress can not stand by and do nothing.

“In this instance these folks were just trying to do a job, and found their families separated, their lives suddenly ruined, their homes gone, and six small children terrified about their uncertain future.

“On the eve of federal legislation being introduced to fix the broken system, we should not be using precious federal resources to tear up families and devastate our communities,” said Helena S. Marques, executive director of the Immigrant Assistance Center in New Bedford.Via Boston.com

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — U.S. Rep. William Delahunt said there will be a Congressional investigation into the immigration raid at a leather goods factory last week that left dozens of families in turmoil. Delahunt wants the subcommittee to look into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement policies regarding the children and families of those arrested.
“There was no excuse for their not being absolutely 100 percent certain that children would not be victims,” Rep. Barney Frank said.

Possibly adding:
“The treatment and devastation at the hands of the Government of the 3 thousand or so families of those tasked with protecting our borders is their own problem.
As Democrats and Americans, we must show compassion for the children of 12 million illegal aliens potential future constituents in our country.
Our concern is the well being of children of the criminal illegal aliens whose lives are destroyed by the government……not the children of the Law enforcement families whose lives are destroyed by the government.

When asked why only 2 Democrats had joined 70 Republicans co sponsoring a bill calling for an investigation into the Ramos and Compean arrest and prosecution…
Senator Kennedy might have added:

“Law enforcement families vote Republican anyway……….They can rot….”
