Fewer men graduate from college
LinkIn an op-ed published Saturday in Newsweek, President Barack Obama marked the 40th anniversary of the enactment of Title IX--which bars gender discrimination in education—and noted that more women in the United States are now graduating from college than men, which he characterized as “a great accomplishment” for the nation.

Gallup: 44% don't know Obama's religion

Despite the fact that President Barack Obama says he is a Christian and formerly attended the Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, 44 percent of Americans say they do not know what Obama’s religion is, while 11 percent erroneously say he is a Muslim and 8 percent say he is “none/no religion,” according to a Gallup poll released Friday.

The facts on the farm bill

Federal subsidies to farmers began after the Great Depression. Lawmakers then viewed safeguarding agriculture as a national security priority. But today the U.S. debt has increased nearly 50 percent since 2009 and farm incomes are surging to record levels.
