Glenn Beck? He is probably the nicest guy in talk radio! They have pieced together a video clip that is edited so I don't know if it is true or not.You can tell it was edited and I rarely miss his show and I never heard him say those things in that way. This group has zero credibility with me, they are a Left wing hit group. I inherently do not trust the Left, because they make things up and twist the facts, because the ends justify the means. and after all they are right and the rest of us are just knuckle dragging, uneducated, beer swilling, fly-over state dwellers who will destroy their dream of achieving Utopia.
Nowhere, on their site do they report on the wildly hate filled things coming out of Air America. why not? Hmm?
They didn't like that Neal Bortz said:
On the July 19, 2006, edition of his radio show, Cox Radio Syndication's The Neal Boortz Show, Boortz claimed that "at its core," Islam is a "violent, violent religion," and said, "[T]his Muhammad guy is just a phony rag-picker." Boortz asserted that "[i]t is perfectly legitimate, perhaps even praiseworthy, to recognize Islam as a religion of vicious, violent, bloodthirsty cretins."
Well, he is right, it is just not politically correct. They would not care how many Liberals bad mouth Christianity.
Michael Smerconish
* Substituting for host Bill O'Reilly on the April 4, 2006, broadcast of Westwood One's The Radio Factor, nationally syndicated radio host Michael Smerconish repeatedly discussed "the sissification of America," claiming that political correctness has made the United States "a nation of sissies." Smerconish also claimed, several times, that this "sissification" and "limp-wristedness" is "compromising our ability to win the war on terror."
Well, as I have said recently, we are emasculating men in this country and what do you call metrosexuals exactly? sissy boys sound good to me and the whole country is being sissified.
They go on to list other things he has said, all out of context of course. But I never listen to him, so who knows
If you want to read more of their nonsense go to their site.
The Left is going to use this Imus fiasco to come after Conservative Talk Radio. They are going to resurrect the fairness doctrine.
From Wikipedia
In August 1987, the Commission abolished the doctrine by a 4-0 vote, in its Syracuse Peace Council decision. The FCC insisted that the doctrine had grown to inhibit rather than enhance debate and suggested that, due to the many media voices in the marketplace at the time, the doctrine was perceived to be unconstitutional. As it should be because it does limit debate. If you listen to talk radio, you know there are plenty of viewpoints from callers. They want every Talk radio show host to have someone sitting next to them with an apposing viewpoint. This would sure help the Left, because Left wing talk radio has been a dismal failure. Now they can sit next to the most successful show in talk radio, Rush.
It is worse than that, the cost of notifying every group you are talking about, or every politician you do not endorse is ridiculous!
We had this nonsense once and got rid of it, of course the democrats want it back.
we are going down the wrong path...
