North Carolina homeowner shoots and kills alleged intruder police say

HICKORY N.C. – One man was shot dead on Saturday morning after he allegedly broke into a residence.

The Hickory Police Department received a call from the owner of a home located in the 1700 block of 14th Street NE, according to a news release from the department.
