Hello again all,Technorati Tags: personal news, human interest, behavior, religion
If you have been listening to the Uncooperative Radio Show you know I have learned how to drive a snowmobile. I did it on New Years Day no less. Not only am I driving, but I am now hauling supplies up to our mountain on an sled that I pull behind me. Now, this may not be a big deal to some and it maybe fun to others; but to me, it was one of the fears I have had to overcome in my life. Someone once said that being fearful of something and doing it anyway is the mark of the brave. I don't feel brave, but then again I have never been a thrill seeker. But I am certainly glad I overcame my fear, as I have many times in my life.
And that brings us to the subject of fear. Fear, one of the human emotions that can move us to protect, defend, or destroy. God, (for those who believe in him) instilled fear into man for protection. If we didn't fear pain or death we wouldn't take precautions to avoid either, thereby experiencing both. But fear can also be overwhelming, stopping us from doing things that need to be done or finding out new things in life. I sometimes envy people who are fearless. They seem so free, somehow. I will never be, its not in me. But I will take baby steps and try not to let fear paralyze me from living life. One of our neighbors up here said, "ya always need options" and he was right, overcoming my fear of snowmobiling this year has given the Uncooperative Family another option. I wonder what other fear I'll overcome in 2009.

Update on the Mountain from the Uncooperative Wife
First; Merry Christmas from my family to yours. Second, I have been so busy that it has been hard to blog on a regular basis. We have finally gotten the snow and winter weather we deserve. Well come on everyone; we live on a Mountain. And with that comes work. All our snowmobiles are ready to go, and I will be going down the Mountain on one for work next week. Brian got real sick this weekend his Fibromyalgia kicked in and we got all that snow so I took off to be a nurse to him. I'm a nurse to everybody else it was time to heal my man. Besides, I needed this. So, here I go blogging again. Or not; as my life goes.

The Uncooperative Wife is back
Sorry folks for neglecting ya all for the past few weeks. Life always seems to get in the way, but I realize this is part of my life as well. Which means I need to pay attention to it. I got Brian the Uncooperative radio show host hooked on blogging, back in the day. But he is way too busy now and I have been handed the torch. Ironic huh? Well hopefully I will be as entertaining and half way reliable. Oh and make sure to tune into our Radio Show, uncooperativeradio.com. Ok, the plug was made so lets begin at the end of 2008.

Uncooperative Update
Brian and I have been very busy on the mountain cutting wood and getting ready for Brian's Health Mine treatments. We are currently in Basin, Montana taking a baby vacation while Brian try's to get healthy for the winter months ahead. Hence the blog has been slow, but hopefully that will change this week. Thanks to all our readers and listeners for your patience.

Evel Knievel Days come once again
Brian and I have made Butte Montana our adopted city. And what a city it is. Unknown to us we have adopted the very city, where Evel Knievel, one of our childhood heroes and an American Icon was born and raised. As a kid, not a child (for those safety naziees out there) I was one of the obstacles that my male playmates would jump over. Oh, and by the way; we never got hurt. My husband, also tried many a stunt to emulate Evel.
from wkipedia
What can I say, for better or worse, the man was and is a true American Icon. He was arrogant, he defied the odds and he paid for his mistakes with his body. All of the new "so- called" extreme sports are a direct product of this man's lust for adventure and quest for pushing the edge. I had a chance to be his Home Health Nurse last yr and my agency had to turn him down because of his, yes you got it, extreme demands. Arrogant and demanding to the end. I don't know if he is with God, but God did not let him die those many times when he should have.
Evel Knievel's hometown of Butte, MT plays host to the worlds greatest celebration for the Worlds Greatest Daredevil in the finest fashion.
Started in 2002, the three-day event draws thousands of visitors from all over the world to the Mining City during the last weekend in July each year.
from wkipedia
Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel was born in Butte, Montana, in 1938, the first of two children born to Robert E. and Ann Kehoe Knievel. His surname is of German origin; his great-great-grandparents on his father's side emigrated to the United States from Germany after a famine struck in 1782. Robert and Ann divorced in 1940, after the birth of their second child, Nic. Both parents decided to leave Butte. Evel was raised by paternal grandparents, Ignatius and Emma Knievel. At the age of eight, Robert Knievel attended a Joie Chitwood Auto Daredevil Show, which he gave credit to for his later career choice, to become a motorcycle daredevil. Almost every jump he did was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Robert Craig "Evel" Knievel (pronounced /ˈiːvəl kɨˈniːvəl/[1]) (October 17, 1938 – November 30, 2007) was an American motorcycle daredevil, an entertainer famous in the United States and elsewhere between the late 1960s and early 1980s. Knievel's nationally televised motorcycle jumps, including his 1974 attempt to jump Snake River Canyon at Twin Falls, Idaho, represent four of the twenty most-watched ABC's Wide World of Sports events to date. His achievements and failures, including his record 433 broken bones, earned him several entries in the Guinness Book of World Records.[2]
His son Robbie Knievel is also an accomplished motorcycle daredevil.

UB update
My apologies for not blogging enough lately. I have been very busy around the homestead and doing six radio shows/week. Probably not a big deal, except my chronic fatigue has been creeping back on me; while I denied it. Well, there is no denying it any more. I am completely down and have to get to the radon health mine immediately. The treatments last 10 days and I don't think I will be blogging during that time. Hard to type right now, wish me well and add me to your prayers.
Thank You...
Thank You...

Where have I been?
This is a long story, but I will make it brief. My satellite was having problems and the company told me it was my tria (the little thing that sits on the end of the dish that does the receiving and transmitting). I had a spare so I changed it, no good. Hmm, so I tried to re-point the dish, but I got no signal. So, I changed the wires and nothing. so, I called the company they sent a technician, but no technician arrived. 6 weeks of this and they finally sent me a new modem, but that didn't fix it, so I am confused. So, I called the company and they sent out another tech call, but no technician came. So I am thinking my signal meter mucst be bad and call the place that installed my system and sold me the meter. He felt bad and actually came up to fix my system, he too was confused. Finally we put the old tria on and it worked. The company sent me a dead tria. He did not asked to be paid but I am sending him a check for 100.00. Hey I live in the middle of nowhere and it takes about 1 hour to get to my place from pavement. So all told it has been about 2 months without satellite.
The company, now, does not want to replace the tria because I let someone else touch my system that they did not send.
