Blixseth justifies taking millions

One by One they all come tumbling down. Even in my state. But that is not a good thing. How many people will loose their jobs in a state that is considered the fifth largest land wise, but also the fifth or sixth poorest because of this.

From the Montana Standard:

MISSOULA — The mountain resort for the rich founded by Tim Blixseth has collapsed financially. But the flamboyant billionaire insisted in federal court Wednesday he was justified in taking hundreds of millions of dollars from the Yellowstone Club leading up to its bankruptcy.

Blixseth blames the worldwide economic crisis and his former wife's supposed mismanagement of the club for its problems. His critics cast him as emblematic of the financial excesses that spurred the global crisis — even as rich players like Blixseth made off with millions.

"I assumed when no one said to me there's something wrong with it, there's nothing wrong with it," Tim Blixseth said during testimony Wednesday in a trial connected to the club's bankruptcy case. He was referring to one of several money transfers totaling at least $200 million that the club made to Blixseth and corporations he controlled.

"I was the manager, and I did what I felt was an appropriate decision at the time," he said.

He added that in the club's early years, when it was cash-strapped and looking for members, the situation was reversed, with Blixseth pumping in tens of millions of dollars to keep the resort afloat.

Now wait a minute, I thought as rich investors that's what your supposed to do, "Invest". The fact that the entire world is consumer based is not sustainable. There is only so much money and credit to spend to go around as we are witnessing now. The current economy's time is running out. What's the alternative. Self Sufficiency. Start now people.

Lawmakers Beg Times Co. to Spare Boston Globe

Please President Obama et al, please save me. Bail me out. Pay my bills. Pay for this blog. Pay for my/our radio show. Where is my government cheese???

From Newsmax.com:

BOSTON -- The Massachusetts congressional delegation has sent a letter to the chairman of The New York Times Co. urging that a solution be found to prevent The Boston Globe from closing.

The letter to Arthur Sulzberger Jr., released Tuesday, was signed by Sens. Edward Kennedy and John Kerry and nine of the state's 10 House members. It called the Globe "an immense asset for Boston and New England" and said closing it would be an "irreplaceable loss."

The Kentucky Derby is Approaching

The recent deaths of all those poor Polo Ponies sparked my interest in these following articles. Also I want our readers and listeners of the our Uncooperative Radio show to read between the lines and notice how different news organizations spin the same story a different way. Learn how to be uncooperative readers.

From the Daily News:

LOUISVILLE - A year ago, the winner of the Kentucky Derby became famous for more than just finishing first in America's most famous race. Big Brown also made headlines when his trainer, Rick Dutrow Jr., told the Daily News he had given the colt the steroid Winstrol on the 15th of every month.

At the time, Winstrol was legal in Kentucky, but in the furor that ensued, the use of anabolic steroids was banned, and this year, no horse will compete on steroids in the Triple Crown series that begins on Saturday with the 135th running of the Kentucky Derby.

The steroid ban went into effect on Jan. 1 in almost every racing jurisdiction and had already been adopted by California for last year's Breeders' Cup at Santa Anita in October.

"I'm all into it," Dutrow said of the ban. "I don't notice it at all now. Steroids never meant nothing."

Now from the "Old Grey Corrupted Lady;

The New York Times:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The death of the filly Eight Belles at last year’s Kentucky Derby, along with the revelation that Big Brown had been treated with steroids before his dazzling victory, spurred pledges of reform and accountability for the welfare of the American thoroughbred. But as racing prepares for its biggest show on Saturday, many top owners and trainers still resist discussing what legal medications their horses are receiving.Of the 20 owners or their trainers who as of Monday intended to run a horse in the Derby, only three shared their veterinary records with The New York Times.

Same story totally different angles. And notice; just because these owners wouldn't talk to the New York Times they must be corrupt. What a rag. Who the hellll do the writers think they are. Oh I know, the mouth piece for the Commie Left. I wouldn't give those jokers my shoe size. Why do people still buy their paper. I use it as an example of how not to be a journalist. I guess they think they are the investigative wing of President Obamanation's cabinet.

Now the story about the poor Polo Ponies.

From Fox News:

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida pharmacy said Thursday that it incorrectly prepared a supplement given to 21 polo horses that died over the weekend while preparing to play in a championship match.

Unable to legally bring a supplement into the U.S. to make their horses more resilient, a Venezuelan polo team had the pharmacy mix up the concoction.

What happened next, though, was disastrous. The chemicals were mixed wrong, and the 21 horses given the brew died in rapid succession, some collapsing just before taking the field in a championship polo match. The others fell soon after, one by one, shocking a well-heeled crowd gathered to watch the U.S. Open at the International Polo Club Palm Beach in Wellington.

Specter 'Driven Out' of GOP by 'Right Wing' and 'Fringe of Party'

I'm watching the TV show "Fringe" right now, and the commie left and the GOP for that matter wouldn't know "fringe" if it bit them on the butt. Both Parties have sold us out and I say goodbye to bad rubbish. Hezbocrats, they are all, (with a few, very few), Hezbocrats that have subverted the Constitution and could give a rats behind about "we the People". It's time you folks voted your with your head and stopped thinking that if you vote for someone else your throwing your vote away. We have been throwing our votes away for decades. Oh and start local.

From NewsBusters:

The evening newscasts on Tuesday night attributed Senator Arlen Specter's motivation for changing parties to how he realized he wouldn't win the Republican primary in Pennsylvania, but they also, just as they did with Senator Jim Jeffords in 2001, eagerly relayed -- without any challenge -- Specter's spin that, in the words of the TV journalists, he “had been driven out by the right-wing of the Republican Party,” the GOP's “increasingly conservative tilt” and “the fringe of the party.”

What is going on in Pennsylvania? Between voting in this man and Murtha MurthaGeHod, I don't know what your all thinking. Wait your not. Please people, you have two years to change this trend. "The choice is yours."

Government Report: Non-Lethal Weapon Program a Waste of Money

painDFrom Fox News:

The Pentagon's pain ray? Pointless. The laser dazzler? Lousy. The anti-vehicle slippery foam? Washed out.

That's the upshot of a highly critical report released last week by the U.S. Government Accountability Office and expounded upon by Wired News.

The report found that the Department of Defense's Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Program (JNLWP) has spent $386 million since it was formed in 1996, and created exactly zero useful non-lethal weapons.

For example, the Active Denial System (ADS) or "pain ray," which focuses microwaves on a target's skin to create intense pain without any lasting effect, does work, as several journalists found out when it zapped them during demonstrations a couple of years ago.

But it takes 16 hours for it to warm up, according to the GAO report. It weighs 9 tons. It's so complicated it can't be fixed in the field. After spending $55 million, the DoD decided not to deploy it overseas.

But at least the ADS is still being worked on. Two other projects were terminated after a total of $12 million had been spent.

Look we had to try. The libs were crying for the war to end, well any war to be exact, I could see us trying to do this. After all we are the most compassionate country in the world. But it didn't work. So I say Stay Lethal. It works.

A.G. 'Relatively Close' to Making Decision on Gitmo Detainees

Now I'm going to have you read this article first. Then an article about my home state of Montana. It seems that some states; mostly poor states, like mine are thinking that having the most dangerous terrorists in the world housed in their state a "cash cow."

From Fox News:

LONDON -- The United States is "relatively close" to making decisions on what to do with an initial group of Guantanamo Bay detainees, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said Sunday.

Holder spoke to The Associated Press during a flight to London, the first of several stops where he will visit with European leaders to discuss terrorism, drugs, and cyber-crime.

The attorney general did not say how much longer he thought it would take to close the Guantanamo Bay detention facility in Cuba. Before officials can meet President Obama's January deadline, the U.S. must first decide which detainees to put on trial and which to release to the U.S. or other countries.

My State already bids for mentally disturbed people from around the country. I know, I worked for the State for 5 years as an evening Nurse Supervisor for a one of these facilities. So now we wanted terrorists. But thankfully it didn't happen. We have enough prisons and mental institutions. Why don't we stick with money within our state using our resources, like cattle, wheat and such. We export all our food now. I know because I am forced to buy beef from outside our country. Yea I know there are co-op programs here, not enough. I'd like to buy from my local farm/ranch.

From USA TODAY:

The city council in Hardin, Mont., thought it had a great idea for filling it's underutilized jail -- bid for the contract to take the detainees from Gitmo, according to the Billings Gazette,

But two days after it voted to pursue the contract, the council has run into a few obstacles -- namely, the entire Montana Congressional delegation.

Good for our elected cockroaches of the fine State of Montana.

Health Officials Say Outbreak at New York City School Likely Swine Flu

I didn't want to report on this yet because it's still evolving and I for one hate when the Lame Stream Media jumps on a story before it has all it's facts and ducks in a row. But the Uncooperative husband/radio show host wants this brought out.

From The AP:

NEW YORK — At least eight students at a New York City high school probably have human swine influenza, but health officials said Saturday they don't know for sure whether they have the same virus that has killed scores of people in Mexico. At least two cases of the flu have been confirmed in Kansas.

A strain of the flu has killed as many as 68 people and sickened more than 1,000 across Mexico. The World Health Organization chief said Saturday the strain has "pandemic potential" and it may be too late to contain a sudden outbreak.

New York health officials said more than 100 students at the private St. Francis Preparatory School, in Queens, had come down with a fever, sore throat and other aches and pains in the past few days. Some of their relatives have also been ill.

New York City Health Commissioner Thomas Frieden said nose and throat swabs had confirmed that eight students had influenza type A, indicating probable cases of swine flu, but the exact subtypes were still unknown.

Samples had been sent to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta for more testing. Results were expected on Sunday.

Now, how in God's beautiful green earth could this ever come into The United States Of America. Hummmmm, wait for it, wait for it, Could It Be Those Wonderful Illegal Aliens that are cleaning the schools, in Queens, watching the children of Queens, or maintaining the lawns of our region. The CDC is now scrambling to investigate. Oh no, say it's not so, I'm a racist. No I'm pragmatic; yea folks look that one up, he,he,he.

The White House First Family Welcomes a new member

The new "member" to the First Family as we all know by now is "Bo" a Portuguese Water Dog. He's cute. But what do we really know about this unusual breed. How did it get here from Portugal? And is it the right choice for our "National Dog"? Well while the Lame Stream Media is yet again falling over each other kissing the boots of our President; I will give you some links to look over and decide for yourselfs. Starting with this one. Yea, I know the UncooperativeRadio Show host hates when I use this site. Bite me my love.

From Wikipedia:

The Portuguese Water Dog, colloquially known as a Portie or PWD, is a working or utility dog that does best when he has a job to do. Portuguese Water Dogs once existed all along Portugal's coast, where they were taught to herd fish into fishermen's nets, to retrieve lost tackle or broken nets, and to act as couriers from ship to ship, or ship to shore. Portuguese Water Dogs rode in bobbing fishing trawlers as they worked their way from the cold Atlantic waters of Portugal to the frigid fishing waters off the coast of Iceland where the fleets caught cod to bring home.[1]

In Portugal, the breed is called Cão d'Água (pronounced Kown-d'Ahgwa; literally "water dog"). In its native land, the dog is also known as the Portuguese Fishing Dog (Cão Pescador Português). Cão de Água de Pêlo Ondulado is the name given the wavy-haired variety, and Cão de Água de Pêlo Encaracolado is the name for the curly-coated variety.[2]

The Portuguese Water Dog is a fairly rare breed; only 15 entrants for Portuguese Water Dogs were made to England's Crufts competition in 2002. Though some breeders claim they are a hypoallergenic dog breed, there is no scientific evidence to support this claim.[3][4][not in citation given] However, their non-shedding qualities have made them more popular in recent years.

And did you know this?:::

From The Miami Herald:

''PWDs,'' which can reach 60 pounds, are rare in the United States; the American Kennel Club registered 1,500 last year, compared to 100,000 Labrador retrievers, the nation's most popular dog.

They're especially unusual in South Florida, probably because ''they're black and it's hot,'' said Stu Freeman, Connecticut-based president of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America. He estimated only 100 PWDs are owned throughout Florida.

And that's probably just as well, given that ``things swimming in the water there might eat them.''

At least three PWDs live in Miami Beach -- all cousins. Two belong to computer consultant David Crabtree and his wife, Bonnie, an executive.

David Crabtree first learned of the breed in a story about the San Francisco Giants' Baseball Aquatic Retrieval Korps (B.A.R.K.), a squad of PWDs that fetched baseballs hit over the Pacific Bell Stadium walls into San Francisco Bay.

And if you want to know more; go here:

pwdca

So this is a wonder non-shedding dog, will it become "Bolt". I am impressed with the dog. Much more than the owners,(considering his "100, reign of breaking down the "Constitution" days", more on that on our radio show)any hoo, hey where did "Cindy Loo Hoo Go"???? Ok, back. Oh wait, her man got elected, n'ough said....

Brian and I want to start a betting pool: How long will it take the new White House Dog "Bo" to kill itself. Yes, it sounds harsh. But how many dogs did the Clilnton's go through? Two, three. No I think it was just two. Two by "car". If you guys want us to start this betting pool lets us know.

Now this is a "water dog". Brian says "by car". I say by ",Potomac River.
If you don't know how close he is to that body of water research it:

Savage sues Napolitano for targeting vets

From WND:

Radio talk show host Michael Savage has teamed up with the Thomas More Law Center of Ann Arbor, Mich., to file a lawsuit against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

"It is a civil rights action brought under the First and Fifth Amendments to the United States Constitution, challenging the policy, practice, and custom of the United States Government that targets for disfavored treatment those individuals and groups that are considered to be 'rightwing extremists,'" the complaint announced today said.

Become part of WND's re-declaration of our founders' intent to be an independent nation

The federal agency recently targeted those individuals in its report called "Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment."

Good for him. It must be nice to have money to hire lawyers. I'd love to have one on retainer, just because. he he. But seriously Folks, read the rest of the story because the government is talking about you. Not terrorist, not criminals, you. The God fearing, constitutional loving, gun toten, family oriented, average person. And if you think I'm overreacting read this:
According to the federal government, members of the suspect group of people include those who:

* Oppose restrictions on firearms

* Oppose lax immigration

* Oppose the policies of President Obama regarding immigration, citizenship and the expansion of social programs

* Oppose continuation of free trade agreements

* Oppose same-sex marriage

* Have paranoia of foreign regimes

* Fear Communist regimes

* Oppose one world government

* Bemoan the decline of U.S. stature in the world

* Are upset with the loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs to China and India

Is this you????? Oh and google the report in the article and read it for yourself, the title is above.:)

FBI Adds Berkeley 'Animal Rights Extremist' to 'Most Wanted' Terrorist List

Just tying in the nut job food police in the articles below with the nut job animal rights terrorists. heh, heh, heh,. A nut job is a nut job is a well:::::NUT JOB!

From Fox News:
An "animal rights extremist" from Berkeley, Calif., was added to the FBI's "Most Wanted" list of terror suspects, federal agents said Tuesday.

Daniel Andreas San Diego, a 31-year-old computer specialist, has been on the run since 2003 and is wanted in two bombings that year of corporate offices in California, said Michael J. Heimbach, an assistant director of the FBI's counterrorism division.

"He is a known animal rights extremist," Heimbach told reporters Tuesday at a Washington, D.C., news conference.

He added that San Diego set an improvised explosive device in the bombings that caused "extensive property damage and economic hardship."

"The investigation revealed that metal nails were used in the construction of the device to create a more forceful effect," Heimbach said.
I guess we should just "blow im up". he he he......

Center for Consumer Freedom Roundup

This is some tidbits from the Center for Consumer Freedom. If you click on the links in the article you will read, "the rest of the story".

Center for Consumer Freedom
Activists to POTUS: We Want a Weekly Anti-Meat Day.

A veritable dream team of food activists pooled their best efforts today in one whopper of a press release. Possibly encouraged by the fact that President Obama caved to activists begging for a White House garden, vegetable enthusiasts are now asking the Commander-in-Chief to endorse national “Meatless Mondays.” But that’s not all. The anti-meat wish list also includes White House-issued recipes and a State Dinner menu overhaul. And to make their case, vegetarian zealots reached deep into their treasure trove of juked stats and bogus claims.

I thought it was up to we the people to decide what and when we want to shove something in our mouths, not the government. They will never stop trying to control us, never. Then there's this:

BMI Surveillance: The Food Police Will Be Watching You:

Two doctors from the nonprofit Altarum Institute have taken a page from the Department of Homeland Security playbook, and began advocating a “Body Mass Index surveillance system” this week. What kind of surveillance? An electronic registry of children’s personal health information, gathered in order to monitor their weight. Here’s our question: Will the FBI start tapping phone conversations any time the words “cookies” and “ice cream” are spoken?

Let’s hope not. Because although Body Mass Index (BMI) is a popular measurement for weight-conscious consumers, it’s simplistic to the point of being practically useless. BMI is a simple calculation of height and weight used by government bureaucrats to classify people as "normal," "overweight," or "obese." And considering that the measurement is so flawed that it considers Brad Pitt overweight, it’s no surprise that many scientists have suggested abandoning the use of BMI altogether. Even the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention casts doubt on the effectiveness of BMI as a health-promotion tool.

Of course they can't get away with these "fear tactics" on all us common sense, beer swilling, gun toten, God fearing individuals. But they can play on our children and parents who want to make sure they provide all the good things in life for them. Open your eyes people and see this for what it is; a method of controlling the populace. And least but not last by a long shot, there's this.

The Wrong Way To Slim Down NYC – Take Four

New York City public health officials are just full of ideas on how to trim down their constituents: taxing soft drinks, yanking the salt out of recipes, and even banning cooking oils. Now a city councilman from Queens has thrown one more anti-fat scheme in the mix. Citing a new study from the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) about an alleged link between obesity and the proximity of restaurants to schools, Eric N. Gioia has proposed – you guessed it – another ban. Should his idea catch on, new restaurants will be prohibited from opening within one-tenth of a mile of Queens schools. But like soda taxes, trans fat bans, and anti-salt crusades, Gioia’s “fast food” prohibition isn’t the answer to slimming down the city’s schoolchildren.

Obama, Chavez Shake Hands at Summit of the Americas

It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood, a wonderful day in the neighborhood, a wonderful day in the neighborhood. Would you be my neighbor?

From Fox News:

Photos released by the Venezuelan government show Obama clasping Chavez's hand and smiling broadly, and Venezuela quoted Chavez as saying, "I'd like to be your friend," while noting that he shook President Bush's hand eight years ago with the same hand. Obama reportedly expressed thanks.

A senior White House official said the encounter came before the summit's opening ceremonies during a meeting with the heads of state. Obama talked to many of the 25 or so leaders who were there at the time. At one point, he walked across the room and introduced himself to Chavez.

If you go to the link and read the rest of the article you'll see a picture of them shaking hands like "brothers in the hood" How nice.

Bad Blogger and Age

Hey, Folks its been awhile I know, Bad Blogger, Bad Bad Blogger. I am staying with a girlfriend and listening to her as she laments turning the ripe old age of forty. Huh, I said to myself as I am looking for the reading glasses I just started using this year, how did I get to this point?

This point being growing old. Being a nurse for many years I have had many elderly patients and have heard many people say: How did they get to be so old? Well it didn't just happen overnight. They "grew" into it. First it's the aches and pains you never had before. Then its the glasses you never needed to use before and finally the grey hair you never noticed before. And so on. And as each change happens you just accept it; or you don't. My girlfriend finally found my glasses and handed them to me as she complained about her birthday again. I for one am proud of my few grey hairs, (should actually be more considering who I am married to. :))I earned them. And as a put my glasses on to write this I think: well I'm not dead yet. Hell! I just learned how to ride a snowmobile this year!
