Guard the Border from Home

Cross posted from The Virtuous Republic:

While the federal government wastes time with virtual fences that don’t work, a citizen’s group has set up a camera system along the border that will be monitored by volunteers sitting at their computers at home.

Compared to the federal government’s $20 million fence, the American Border Patrol spent $100,000 on a system that actually works! Those who monitor the cameras will contact the Border Patrol when they see illegals crossing the border.

If you want to volunteer, visit their website here.

A border security group has created a Web site that will let immigration hawks patrol the border over the Internet.
The American Border Patrol’s Virtual Vigilance program will let people take control over a high-tech camera mounted on a 46-foot pole and watch people crossing into the U.S.
The idea is to help be the eyes for Customs and Border Protection officers.
Five cameras will be set up at the American Border Patrol’s ranch near Naco and will provide coverage of about 20 miles. The group wants volunteers to work half-hour shifts.
Glenn Spencer, American Border Patrol’s president, stood in front of a projection Tuesday at the Marriott University Park and pointed to an image of a wall federal officials say 300 illegal entrants go over every day.
“Americans can sit in their homes and they can watch that wall,” he said.
Two of the group’s cameras are thermal and can see five miles into the dark. They cost $85,000 apiece, Spencer said.
Spencer also gloats that The Boeing Co. can’t get its $20 million “virtual fence” up and running, while his folks developed the hardware and software for their project at a cost of $100,000. Read more….

It’s All in the Name - North American Union

Cross posted from Bear Creek Ledger:

Now instead of calling this the North American Union (NAU) of which SPP (Security and Prosperity Partnership) is a prelude, the superhighway will now be called a “regional loop“. Whenever NAU or SPP is mentioned to the Administration the mentioners are called conspiracy kooks. That’s kind of odd since all of this is documented on the government’s own site.

NAU: Conspiracy or Coverup?

To see what the elites are planning, you don’t have peek through keyholes or plant a spy under the table. Just read their published reports.

The words most frequently used to describe their goals are “economic integration,” “labor mobility,” “free movement of goods, services and people across open borders,” and “harmonization” of regulations.

The Council on Foreign Relations published a major report on May 17, 2005, only two months after the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) was announced by President Bush, Mexico’s Vicente Fox, and Canada’s Paul Martin in Waco on March 23, 2005. The CFR document explaining SPP’s goals and methodology was posted on the U.S. State Department website, thereby confirming its authenticity.

The CFR report explains that the three SPP amigos at Waco “committed their governments” to “Building a North American Community” by 2010 with a common “outer security perimeter,” “the extension of full labor mobility to Mexico,” allowing Mexican trucks “unlimited access,” “totalization” of illegal aliens into the U.S. Social Security system, and “a permanent tribunal for North American dispute resolution.”

The prestigious Center for Strategic & International Studies published a report in 2007 called “North American Future 2025 Project.” It advocates “economic integration,” the “free flow of people across national borders,” and “policies that integrate governments.”

The CSIS report even calls for “harmonizing legislation” on intellectual property rights with other countries. That’s a direct attack on our U.S. patent system, which is the key to U.S. leadership in inventions and innovation.

The Hudson Institute published a 35-page White Paper in 2007 called “Negotiating North America: The Security and Prosperity Partnership.” It states that SPP is the vehicle “for economic integration” with Mexico and Canada and even “combines an agenda with a political commitment.”

The Hudson White Paper explains

that SPP’s “design” is for the executive branch to exercise full “authority” to “enforce and execute” whatever is decided by a 3-nation agreement of “civil service professionals” as though it were “law.” That means evading treaty ratification and even congressional legislation and oversight.

Don’t forget the importance of the Wall Street Journal and its longtime, very influential editorial-page editor, the late Robert Bartley. When Mexico’s Vicente Fox called for NAFTA to evolve into something like the European Union, Bartley wrote: “There is one voice north of the Rio Grande that supports his vision. To wit, this newspaper.”

One of the most influential business writers, Peter F. Drucker, wrote in his book, Post-Capitalist Society, that “The economic integration of the three countries into one region is proceeding so fast that it will make little difference whether the marriage is sanctified legally or not.”

When Larry King asked Mexico’s Vicente Fox about plans for a “Latin America united with one currency,” Fox answered in the affirmative. He said that one currency was part of the “vision” of the Free Trade Area of the Americas that Bush agreed to in the Declaration of Quebec City in 2001.

So now we know why the Bush Administration won’t build a fence to interfere with “labor mobility” across open borders. Now we know why Bush won’t pardon Ignatio Ramos and Jose Compean, while winking at the prosecutor’s deal to give immunity to a professional drug smuggler.

Now we know why Bush thumbed his nose at the overwhelming congressional votes (411-3 in the House and 75-23 in the Senate) to exclude Mexican trucks from U.S. roads. Now we know why Bush has been more persistent in pursuing “totalization” to put illegal aliens into Social Security than to promote his proposal to privatize a small part of Social Security for American citizens.

This is no conspiracy. It’s all part of the “economic integration” of the North American countries that’s been openly talked about for years.

Yet, today and tomorrow, the 3 countries will be meeting again in New Orleans, LA.

From Lonewacko:

The fourth annual “North American Leaders Summit” - part of the Security and Prosperity Partnership started by George Bush - will be held Monday and Tuesday in New Orleans and will be attended by Bush, Felipe Calderon of Mexico, and Stephen Harper of Canada. Expect the news reports about the event to be credulous.

The same time President Bush is in NOLA for the SPP summit he will be in attendance to help celebrate the re-opening of the Mexican consulate. After Katrina NOLA was flooded with “workers” from Mexico and Central America. Contractors canceled construction contracts with companies with American workers to go with companies with illegal aliens for cheaper costs.

Mexico to reopen New Orleans consulte, George Bush to appear

[At the summit], [o]bservers say [Felipe Calderon] is eager to tout the role his 30,000 countrymen played in the rebuilding of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina in 2005… Ricardo Alday, spokesman for the Mexican Embassy in Washington, said New Orleans is a good place for Calderon to remind Bush of Mexican workers’ contributions to the U.S. economy… “I will expect the president to touch on the economic contributions of migrants to the U.S. economy, particularly to an area like New Orleans, where I understand a big part of the cleaning and reconstruction after Hurricane Katrina has been done by immigrants — not just Mexicans, but immigrants in general,” Alday said.

Another item noted from Lonewacko is the support and appearance by LA Lt Gov. Mitch Landrieu however the newly elected Governor Bobby Jindahl isn’t mentioned. Hopefully, Gov. Jindahl doesn’t support the influx of illegal workers to rebuild NOLA.

Nearly 300 Illegals Convicted of DUI in North Carolina

Cross posted from Virtuous Republic

Three hundred illegal aliens were sent to jail for DUI in North Carolina in 2007. In North Carolina, that accounted for 18% of all such arrests.

If the Federal Government controlled our borders, the roads in North Carolina would be a safer place to drive.

When as a country did we decide not to care?

Nearly 300 illegal immigrants were convicted on driving-while-impaired charges and placed in North Carolina prisons in 2007.

Hispanics also account for 18 percent of drunken-driving arrests, while making up less than 7 percent of the state’s population, according to a study from the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center aired in WRAL’s documentary “Focal Point: Crossing the Line.”

The study also showed that Hispanics involved in car crashes were 2.5 times more likely to be drunk than white drivers and three times more likely to be drunk than black drivers.

In the three cases listed above, each of the accused drunken drivers had extensive contact with the judicial system – but had managed to elude the immigration system until these incidents. Read more….

U.S. Says New Find Shows Iran Still Sends Arms to Iraq

Iran has it's own agenda and they do not care about the western countries or the U.N....

From The Wall Street Journal:
The U.S. military says it has found caches of newly made Iranian weapons in Iraq, leading senior officials to conclude Tehran is continuing to funnel armaments into Iraq despite its pledges to the contrary.

Officials in Washington and Baghdad said the purported Iranian mortars, rockets and explosives had date stamps indicating they were manufactured in the past two months. The U.S. plans to publicize the weapons caches in coming days. A pair of senior commanders said a presentation was tentatively planned for Monday.
show of hands, who thought Iran was going to be helpful to coalition forces in Iraq? Her's your sign...
This month, Adm. Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said Iranian support for Shiite extremist groups had grown. Defense Secretary Robert Gates said for the first time that he believed Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad knew about the shipments.

Iran has long denied that its government knowingly funneled weapons into Iraq or trained Shiite militants there. It has derided the U.S. claims as propaganda. Several senior U.S. military officials said the weapons caches would undercut the Iranian denials and provide new evidence of continuing Iranian support for Shiite militants across Iraq.

"You can see the manufacturing dates right on the armaments themselves," one senior commander in Baghdad said. "These are very clearly weapons that were made in the last month or so."

Rear Adm. Gregory Smith, the top American military spokesman in Baghdad, said U.S. officials were "working on a briefing that we hope to be able to deliver in the next week or so." He said he would not be "disclosing the substance of the brief."
Interesting? Let us continue...
Gen. David Petraeus, the top U.S. commander in Iraq, focused his recent congressional testimony almost exclusively on Iran, which he said was playing a "destructive role" by funneling advanced weaponry to Shiite militants in Iraq.

Within the State Department, views about Iran have also been hardening. Ryan Crocker, the U.S. ambassador to Iraq, told reporters last year that there were signs Tehran was "using some influence to bring down violence from extremist Shia militias." Earlier this month, by contrast, he said Iran was playing a "highly dangerous" role in Iraq, and directly accused Tehran of providing the deadly rockets that slammed into the U.S. Embassy compound where he lives and works.

Mr. Crocker also said that recent talks between U.S., Iraqi and Iranian officials had made little progress and failed to persuade Iran to change its behavior in Iraq.
I rest my case.

Food Crisis Starts Eclipsing Climate Change Worries

I told you using food to fuel machines was a profoundly bad idea...

From the NY Sun:
The campaign against climate change could be set back by the global food crisis, as foreign populations turn against measures to use foodstuffs as substitutes for fossil fuels.

The campaign against climate change could be set back by the global food crisis, as foreign populations turn against measures to use foodstuffs as substitutes for fossil fuels.

One factor being blamed for the price hikes is the use of government subsidies to promote the use of corn for ethanol production. An estimated 30% of America’s corn crop now goes to fuel, not food.
Yeah, and some people thought I was just being an anti-enviromental fear monger; no joke.
“It takes around 400 pounds of corn to make 25 gallons of ethanol,” Mr. Senauer, also an applied economics professor at Minnesota, said. “It’s not going to be a very good diet but that’s roughly enough to keep an adult person alive for a year.”
Allot of corn for a tank full of gas huh?

Just when you thought this would not have a dumbass moment...
Mr. Senauer said climate change advocates, such as Vice President Gore, need to distance themselves from ethanol to avoid tarnishing the effort against global warming. “Crop-based biofuels are not part of the solution. They, in fact, add to the problem. Whether Al Gore has caught up with that, somebody ought to ask him,” the professor said. “There are lots of solutions, real solutions to climate change. We need to get to those.”
You knew this was a bad idea in advance, but you buy into man-made disaterous global climate change? Notice they no longer call it "Global Warming", why is that? Simple, it has not warmed since 1998 and the U.S. had a horrible winter. Not to mention the Earth is about to go through a global cooling cycle. That is right CYCLE, the earth's climate goes through cycles. they have to keep the Global power grab going before you realize they were absolutely wrong and it was all made up fear to centralize more power in their march towards global socialism. Have you drank the kool-aid? Well, Matthew Hartwig of the Renewable Fuels Association said.
oil companies and food manufacturers are behind the attempt to undercut ethanol. “There is a concerted misinformation campaign being put out there by those people who are threatened by ethanol’s growing prominence in the marketplace,” he said.
Yup, there is a non-biased opinion if I have ever heard one...

NY police cleared in 50-bullet wedding day shooting

Some good news!

From Reuters:
Three New York City detectives were found not guilty on Friday in the shooting death of an unarmed black man killed in a hail of 50 bullets on his wedding day, prompting angry reactions and a federal review of the case.

A New York state judge cleared two police officers of manslaughter and other charges and a third of reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell, 23. Bell was shot, along with two friends, after a bachelor party at a strip club in November 2006.
That said, being NYC and involving Black americans, Al sharpton is of course involved and not taking innocent for an answer.
After the verdict, hundreds of demonstrators yelled angrily, and there was pushing and shoving in the crowd as police, reporters and spectators packed the sidewalk.

Civil rights leader Al Sharpton, who has been highly critical of police and is influential in New York's black community, called for wider protests.

"They want us to act crazy so they would have an excuse to do more," Sharpton told the audience of his radio show. "We are going to be strategic. We are going to close the city down in a nonviolent effective way."
Yeah Al, "they" want black Americans to go crazy. we sit around at nights planning how to make black American's lives miserable. Hey, you phony political hack, it is "leaders" like you who are standing on the backs of black Americans not whitey.
But federal authorities said they would consider civil rights charges in the case in a review to be conducted by the Justice Department, federal prosecutors and the FBI.

They will "take appropriate action if the evidence indicates a prosecutable violation of federal criminal civil rights statutes," the Justice Department said in a statement.
Great, the same justice dept. that put Ramos and Campean in prizon is not going to take innocent in a court of law as the end of the situation. Our govt has gone completely nuts, it is not the federal govts. job to file a civil suit, it is the injured parties job to file a civil lawsuit! This is how we treat our law enforcement officers now...
All three defendants waived their right to a jury trial and decided to have the judge decide guilt or innocence. The defense lawyers said jurors in the borough of Queens were likely to be biased against the policemen due to the intense media coverage generated by the case.

State Supreme Court Judge Arthur Cooperman said the charges could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, noting that some prosecution witnesses contradicted themselves from prior statements and may have had motivation to lie.

"At times the testimony just didn't make sense," Cooperman said.
Of course, the community was biased and yes they would lie to put cops behind bars. I know I worked NYC Ghettos for 7 years. You can expect them not to tell you about the crimes they witness and you can expect them to lie about any cop who discharges his firearm or about police brutality. That is just the way the game is played.
he judge gave credibility to the detectives' statements that they believed they were in danger but also offered, "Questions of carelessness and incompetence must be left to other forums."

The eight-week trial centered on whether the detectives had reason to believe they faced imminent danger and whether they made it clear to Bell and the two survivors that they were police officers.

On the night of the shooting, Isnora, the undercover officer who fired first, followed Bell and his two friends to Bell's car believing they went to fetch a gun to settle a dispute at the club. He opened fire after being grazed by Bell's car as Bell attempted to drive away.

The other officers reached Bell's car after the initial confrontation and said they believed Isnora was being fired at from inside the vehicle.

Rule Number Two

by Heidi Squier Kraft

Rule Number TwoWhen Lieutenant Commander Heidi Kraft's twin son and daughter were fifteen months old, she was deployed to Iraq . A clinical psychologist in the US Navy, Kraft's job was to uncover the wounds of war that a surgeon would never see. She put away thoughts of her children back home, acclimated to the sound of incoming rockets, and learned how to listen to the most traumatic stories a war zone has to offer.

One of the toughest lessons of her deployment was perfectly articulated by the TV show M*A*S*H: "There are two rules of war. Rule number one is that young men die. Rule number two is that doctors can't change rule number one." Some Marines, Kraft realized, and even some of their doctors, would be damaged by war in ways she could not repair. And sometimes, people were repaired in ways she never expected.

RULE NUMBER TWO is a powerful firsthand account of providing comfort admidst the chaos of war, and of what it takes to endure.

Judge blocks Philadelphia from enforcing new gun laws

Here we go again...

From TBO:
A judge on Thursday temporarily blocked the city from enforcing five gun-control ordinances pending a challenge from the National Rifle Association.

The NRA argues that state law prevents Pennsylvania municipalities from regulating guns, a view that even the city's crime-weary district attorney shares.

"The city has no basis to pass any of these gun-control ordinances and they know it," lawyer C. Scott Shields argued on the NRA's behalf.
They tried this in Helena Montana, they banned loaded firearms within city limits against the preemptive state law which stated no municipality or cvounty could pass tougher gun restrictions than the state, which allows open carry. Well, I fought that one and won it , with the help of the NRA. These anti-gun legislators need to know they have to follow the laws of their states. Not to mention more gun control laws will not prevent violent crime; criminals do not follow laws.

Divorce, Unwed Parenting Costing Taxpayers

From Tampa Bay Online:
Divorce and out-of-wedlock childbearing cost U.S. taxpayers more than $112 billion a year, according to a study commissioned by four groups advocating more government action to bolster marriages.
We didn't know that divorce costs American taxpayers? I thought ti was rather obvious.

Sponsors say the study is the first of its kind and hope it will prompt lawmakers to invest more money in programs aimed at strengthening marriages. Two experts not connected to the study said such programs are of dubious merit and suggested that other investments - notably job creation - would be more effective in aiding all types of needy families.
It is not the federal government's business to create jobs or strengthen marriages. The Constitution does not allow for all these socialist concepts.

"The study documents for the first time that divorce and unwed childbearing - besides being bad for children - are costing taxpayers a ton of money," said David Blankenhorn, president of the Institute for American Values.

"We keep hearing this from state legislators, 'Explain to me why this is any of my business? Aren't these private matters?'" Blankenhorn said. "Take a look at these numbers and tell us if you still have any doubt."

Scafidi's calculations were based on the assumption that households headed by a single female have relatively high poverty rates, leading to higher spending on welfare, health care, criminal justice and education for those raised in the disadvantaged homes. The $112 billion estimate includes the cost of federal, state and local government programs, and lost tax revenue at all levels of government.

Reducing these costs, Scafidi said, "is a legitimate concern of government, policymakers and legislators."

While the study doesn't offer formal recommendations, it does suggest that state and federal lawmakers consider investing more money in programs intended to bolster marriages. Such a program has been in place in Oklahoma since 2001; Texas last year earmarked about $15 million in federal funds for marriage education.

Villaraigosa warns ICE to back off immigration raids

This just chafes my backside!

From Press-Telegram:
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa is asking federal officials to rethink their policy on workplace immigration crackdowns that involve established businesses and to focus on employers that mistreat workers instead.

The mayor said in a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff that work-site raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement could have "severe and long-lasting effects" on the local economy, the Los Angeles Times reported Thursday.

ICE made more than 4,900 work-site arrests nationwide in fiscal 2007, a 45-fold increase over the number in 2001, authorities said.

More than 130 undocumented workers were arrested at a San Fernando Valley manufacturing company in February and over 60 workers were arrested for immigration violations at South Bay-area warehouses last week.

Los Angeles companies such as clothing manufacturer American Apparel Inc. have reported being questioned by ICE officials about their hiring procedures.

Villaraigosa accused federal officials of targeting "established, responsible employers" in industries that rely on "workforces that include undocumented immigrants."

"In these industries, including most areas of manufacturing, even the most scrupulous and responsible employers have no choice but to rely on workers whose documentation, while facially valid, may raise questions about their lawful presence," he wrote in the March 27 letter.

He said ICE should spend its limited resources targeting employers who exploit wage and hour laws.

First, the Villian Gross is a La Raza supporter and Mexican before U.S. traitor to this country.

Second, you are complaining they are targeting "established, responsible employers" in industries that rely on "workforces that include undocumented immigrants."? Responsible employers follow the law, they do not violate the law. If your business requires the use of illegal labor, than you are not only irresponsible, but criminal; period. This kind of mindset just infuriates me, let poor people here working illegally and in this country illegally stay and just accept it. Even though they are all living below the poverty line here and are a drain on our resources and tax dollars. What a profoundly stupid, open border, one world, left wing liberal, progressive, socialist, commie bastard thing to say.

Mayoral spokesman Matt Szabo said Villaraigosa and Los Angeles business leaders hope to discuss their concerns with Chertoff in person next week during an annual business trip to Washington.
Your concerns? We the people do not care about your concerns! We want the rule of law to be enforced and our borders sealed. We also want all those here illegally out of our country. We do not care how hard it is to accomplish it, just do it. And the way they are increasing their raids, if they ever seal the border they will succeed within 10 years.

Apparently charity begins and ends at home

Cross posted, with permission, from Conservative Common Man

Published by Sam Pierce

No one could reasonably doubt Hillary "It takes a village idiot" Clinton's compassion and caring nature. She is a Democrat politician and everyone knows they are for the little guy. She has championed socialism and the redistribution of wealth… other people's wealth that is.

From The New York Times:

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and former President Bill Clinton released tax data Friday showing they earned $109 million over the last eight years, an ascent into the uppermost tier of American taxpayers that seemed unimaginable in 2001, when they left the White House with little money and facing millions in legal bills.

The bulk of their wealth has come from speaking and book-writing, which together account for almost $92 million, including a $15 million advance — larger than previously thought — from Mr. Clinton's 2004 autobiography, "My Life." The former president's vigorous lecture schedule, where his speeches command upwards of $250,000, brought in almost $52 million.

During that time, the Clintons paid $33.8 million in federal taxes and claimed deductions for $10.2 million in charitable contributions. The contributions went to a family foundation run by the Clintons that has given away only about half of the money they put into it, and most of that was last year, after Mrs. Clinton declared her candidacy.

The Clintons, being self appointed American royalty, know the best way to make charitable donations is to honor themselves. What could be a more worthy cause than:

  • The Clinton Presidential Library Cigar Room
  • The Clinton Presidential Library Memorial to "Suicides" of Associates
  • The Clinton Presidential Library Sandy Berger Bulging Socks Statue
  • The Clinton Presidential Library bronzed ice-pack, (offered to victims of the rapist)
  • The Clinton Presidential Library film room running footage of Hillary's Bosnia landing (edited into "Rambo")
  • The Clinton Presidential Library Vault of FBI files
  • The Clinton Presidential Library Framed Blank Paper, which signifies the letter of recommendation that Jerry Zeifman, former general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committe, refused to give his former subordinate:

"Because she was a liar," Zeifman said in an interview last week. "She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality."

For the rest of the story about Hillary's noble performance during the Watergate affair read Dan Calabrese' article at North Star Writers Group.

Now that I know what the model for charitable giving is I think I might start a "Pierce Foundation." I will direct all my donations to myself and will use them to honor myself. I urge all of you to follow the example of the rapist and his wife of political expediency and honor yourselves while writing it off!

Adios, La Cucarachas, Arizona Waves Bye-Bye

Cross posted from Islamanazi:

As it has become the favorite entry point for undocumented aliens trying to sneak into the United States, Arizona has become a laboratory for whether a state can single-handedly combat illegal immigration. It can.

It has barred illegal aliens from receiving government services, from winning punitive damages in lawsuits and from posting bail for serious crimes. A new state law shuts down businesses that hire illegal workers. And the sheriff of Maricopa County, which includes Phoenix and three-fifths of the state’s population, dispatches his deputies and volunteer “posses” to search for illegal street vendors and aliens being smuggled through the county.

The campaign has had an effect: Illegal aliens complain it’s impossible to find good work (sob, sob) and are leaving the state.

Businesses that cater to both legal immigrants and illegal aliens report a huge drop in sales. “There used to be so many people they would fight for parking out there,” said Omar Flores, 31, manager of La Mexicana market in western Phoenix. “Now the grocery store is mostly empty.”

Good. You’ve been profiting by aiding and abetting criminals. Now go out of business.

Part of the exodus is the drop in home building. In the construction sector, which employs many illegal aliens, 10% of jobs have vanished over the last year as home prices dropped. The new employer sanctions law has led some businesses to say they won’t expand in Arizona, which means they rely on illegal labor. Good riddance!

Get ready to roar with laughter: Enough illegals have left that the government of Sonora, the Mexican state bordering Arizona, has complained about how many people have arrived on its doorstep. Ha ha ha ha ha hahahahahahaha! COMPLAINED! Oh poor babies! Do you suppose anyone in the Arizona statehouse is listening sympathetically? Complained! That’s great.

Pearce says the overall effect has been undeniably positive for Arizona. “Smaller class sizes, shorter emergency room waits,” he said. “Even if illegal aliens are paying taxes — and most of them aren’t — the cost to taxpayers is huge.”

Let’s not forget the enormous jail and prison expenses, the huge law enforcement costs, the need for all those extra police and deputies, the constant crimes, robberies, rapes, murders. While the business people who have relied on illegal aliens for their ill-gotten income, the honest citizens of Arizona have been paying through the nose.

With the new law against hiring illegals, the only defense for an employer is if it used E-Verify, a federal pilot project to allow businesses to confirm the legality of their laborers.

The law did what it was supposed to with Jorge Hernandez, a 32-year-old illegal immigrant from Mexico. He had been working in a Phoenix tire shop for years when in December his bosses told him they’d have to let him go because of the new law. Now he struggles to support his family by working as a day laborer and is thinking of leaving.

“I’ve been in Arizona for 11 years,” he said. “This is the worst one. For those years I worked every day. I had money, I had a car.”

Cry me a river, you lazy bastard! After 11 years you still had never bothered to apply for citizenship?

Hernandez dreams of moving to New Mexico, where friends have told him the economy is stronger and sentiment against illegal immigrants weaker. “They don’t have E-Verify there,” he said in Spanish.

And that’s entirely because of Governor Richardson, who is of Mexican descent, identifies himself as Hispanic and has no respect at all for his nations immigration laws. With any luck, all the illegal aliens in the U.S. will go to New Mexico as the last open state. Then we’ll watch that state disintegrate.

In other good news, the amount of LEGAL immigration dropped by 17% last year because of increased “administrative problems”. Good! What are we, a goddamned bottomless pit for the worlds disaffected? There’s too many people here now and most of those only speak Spanish. Amscray! Vamoose, hijos de putas! Cago en tu leche

In the meantime, the Dept. of Homeland Security is forging ahead with The Fence, by overriding environmental report requirements. A lot of landowners along the route, of Mexican persuasion, have tried to stop the fence but liberal use of Eminent Domain and now this, is ensuring its continued construction.

There’s a lot of whining over supposed environmental concerns that the fence stops the “migration of animals to and from Mexico.” Oh? You mean like, coyotes and white-tail deer? How sad. Those poor coyotes, unable to go from sheep ranch to sheep ranch like they used to. What a loss. Let’s not forget “the endangered Sonoran Pronghorn and lesser long-nosed bat,” for which we’re giving $800,000 to Fish and Wildlife to use to mitigate any impact, although why the bat can’t fly over the fence is a mystery to me. It sure as Hell won’t fly into it, not with the radar they have. Bats can sense a single gnat in the air. And eat it.

Perhaps we should earmark some funds to mitigate the extinction of illegal aliens? I can see it now, the last Illegal Alien, like the last passenger pigeon, nicely mounted in a glass case in the Smithsonian.
